ND/Weis various topics

I have no love for the ND program, and no fond feelings for Coach Weis, but I prefer the shots that are taken at him with a certain degree of wit and creativity to posts that involve simple name-calling.

Sorry, Bill. I prefer the direct approach in this case. His conduct (and media fawning) leading up to and including the game made me ill. I hope he falls on his face. But is that possible?

Getting back to the article that Grad posted: I didn't see it mentioned on here anywhere (but nobody ever accused me of being thorough) that Weis actually accused this kid of not telling the truth when the story first broke.

I don't remember the exact quote when the story originally came out, but Weis said something along the lines of the reason the kid was not continuing with football was not because of the rigors of an architectural major (even though that's what the kid was saying).

ps George Costanza would be very proud of this young man. As you know, there is no higher calling than being an architect.

Eddie George majored in Landscape Architecture when he was at OSU-he completed his degree a few years later-is it fair to say there are a lot more demands on a regular architecture student than a landscape architecture student?

When I went to college the one major that they told us we couldn't choose because of football was Architecture. I lived in a dorm near one of the Architecture rooms my first 2 years and there were people in there working until all hours of the night.

Charlie Weiss may not be classy but he is definately able to develop QB's and is a decent coach. The guy is getting lots of media love right now because:

1.) it's ND.
2.) NE SB Rings.
3.) he took a marginal team to a BCS bowl and 9 wins when not even Domer Homers would make that prediction.

I am not a ND fan but a program like that is not going to suck forever. The reality is that ND is once again a serious recruiting power in the Mid-west and that may worry a few fans out there. Just remember how well Tressel has done in-state and the fact that we are 1-up on ND under tress. I would love to play ND again for this years NC game and make that 2-0.
