Game Thread Nebraska Cornhuskers at tOSU, Oct 6th, 8 ET, ABC/ESPN/2

My best friend is a Husker so I want this game bad. Other than um, this is the next biggest game to me. There was some talk coming outta the Huskers locker room after last year's game that when the Huskers starter to get physical with Burkhead and their OL in the second half the OSU DL gassed and quit. I hope Simon and crew heard the same noise and gets after these guys.

BTW, while watching the MSU v. Nebraska game last year that Meyer called, he made a lot of comments that he didn't understand why MSU couldn't see the weaknesses in the Nebraska defense. He made it seem like it should be easy to move the ball on the Huskers. I hope he's right, although I hear they're going to be a lot more agressive on D this year.

Go Bucks!!!

They're going to get more aggressive after losing Jared Crick, Lavonte David and Alfonzo Dennard.

Think about that.

This is just another story that comes under the heading "Big 10 is still rebuilding". In fact, the conference is going to be down even more than usual this year IMHO.

According to Pelini, they're going to blitz a lot more. During the BTN's preview it was stated that the Huskers could play 17 DL this season.

Go Bucks!!!

Playing more aggressively on defense often means more blitzing, so that's not a surprise.

My only point is that pursuing a high-risk/high-reward scheme after losing one of the league's best linemen, the league's best linebacker and one of the best DBs is a recipe for realizing more of the risk than the reward.

Oppose that with an offensive scheme that makes you pay for taking risks and you have the makings of a very long night for the Cornhuskers.

I'm soooooooooooo looking forward to seeing Nebraska playing tOSU in the Horseshoe.

While I expect to see tOSU win the game, just watching Nebraska play you guys in that historic venue will be a treat.

I'm extremely wary of tOSU. Urban has quite the impressive track record in his first year taking over programs.

Also------NO WAY do we beat you guys in Lincoln last season if your starting QB doesn't get hurt.

I hope you all welcome Nebraska fans to Columbus as hardily as Nebraska fans welcomed tOSU fans to Lincoln.

I really hope this happens, as we were treated like long lost friends by every husker we came in contact with in Lincoln last year.

Should be, however, some people, usually fueled by alcohol, will hold grudges and aren't reserved. They are the vocal majority but by no means the fan majority. Just the loudest and dumbest

I hope we play Nebraska like we played MSU. Rolling a safety down into the box and daring the QB to beat us through the air.

Given how bad Martinez can be throwing the ball and how good he is running the option I think it'd be asking to lose the game if we play off the ball against this team. We'll need as many players near the LOS as possible to put this team away.

Night game in the shoe, payback, and just playing a very tough defense I'm expecting us to put them out and keep them out this time.
