Great game to watch, great win. I feel somewhat guilty for wanting, I mean really WANTING that last touchdown but at the same time, now I'm finally over last years lost to the Cornhusers! :)

:io:

I think you, Hyde, and the rest of Buckeye Nation wanted 60 there.

Especially after Hyde fumbled earlier in the quarter (which was a nice strip, take notes defense)

Just got back to the hotel from the game.

First quarter. You all saw it and Nebraska nearly took the crowd out of the game. This ended up being one of the best crowds I've seen at Ohio State. It was loud and it was relentless. I won't have a voice for a day or two.

I felt the last touchdown was a response to the last Nebraska timeout. Pelini wanted to extend the game so Ohio State obliged. It was simply power running. Stop Hyde and you get the ball back. Nebraska could not.

Back. Definitely the power steering pump. Not much I can do bout it tonight.

As far as 'running up the score' - ask Idaho State about 'running up the score'.

Never feels good when you're the one getting it handed to you. But I believe in the Mike Leech way of thinking on the matter - it's the best time to practice in a game.

I have no qualms with that, and I probably speak for a good majority of Husker fans. All means revenge the following year, and we got you guys last year in an odd fashion.

If any 'Husker' fan complains, tell them this:

"Ask Martinez about that last TD - he gave us plenty."

Now - Knapp will be in here complaining, but my thought is this - Martinez showed us his 'true' colors this evening against another top defense. He is still the same kid who threw a bunch of picks last year. If people could become 'elite' quarterbacks by visiting some 'qb guru', they'd do it all the damn time.

He's only played QB since he was a Junior, and folks expect him to be Peyton Manning/Mike Vick?!? C'mon.

And Bo? He's got some hard choices to make - the fan base is restless with losses like this, and a new AD won't help his chances to stay around if he doesn't give some responsibilities to others. He's a HEAD COACH, not a DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR - be a freaking head coach.

The offense we run is, in my opinion, gimmicky. Hell, Bama, LSU, you guys, and other teams have won CHAMPIONSHIPS with regular ball control offenses.

Brax is a stud, as we all knew.

All in all, I'm glad we were competitive for at least 3 quarters until it got out of hand. Good job by your guys, all around.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't believe we've had any opposing team score 30+ at the Shoe' in over a decade?

Consider yourself corrected: It's been less than a couple of hours since that happened last.

As for the last (most recent) time this many points were scored by both teams combined in an Ohio State game (before tonight):

83-21 over Iowa on October 28th, 1950

Did they have plungers in 1950? Did they have lube?
