Typically, I would be gung-ho for the 'Huskers in a game like this...

However, my wife's d-bag brother-in-law had this on his FB page yesterday:

I've honored my wife's wish of not responding in kind (or taking it to a-whole-nother level on his fat ass). But I'd love it for someone out there to help me get my head back on straight about who I should be rooting for come this next weekend. I can't believe that I'm actually at "fuck 'em both" level. :shake:

Edit: forgot to mention for those not aware, my wife is from NE, and thus, fuckstick above is a Husker as well. Maybe I can get hortdog and knapp to take a short trip to Omaha and lay the wood for me.

Always root against Bucky. Always.

I hope the conspiracy theorists have their DVRs ready because rarely is there a game where the powers that be have such a vested interest.

A mediocre Wisconsin team would be going to the Rose for the third straight year. They travel well, but this will be anything but a marquee match-up.

A very good Nebraska team would be going to the Rose as Big Ten champion for the first time ever. They travel as well as any fan base in the nation. The B1G wants them. The PAC wants them. The Rose wants them. TV wants them.

If only there was some way that Penn State would suffer more if Wisky won....

I'm actually a little concerned about this. If we win this game (by no means a guarantee) I want it to be without blemish.

Is Rex 100%? I know he played in the last game, but I was curious as to how much he's actually back.

Rex looked good in the game last week, had almost 100 yards rushing. He went beast mode. Shame that he got hurt in his senior season, but that seems to be the breaks for guys like him.

The over/under on the win depends on the over/under of how many times we decide we're going to put the ball on the carpet. Seems it happens at least twice a game.

Go figure. 2nd year in the conference, we make the championship game, and nobody wants to go...

LINCOLN - If Husker fans regard Pasadena as a big, red rose, some apparently view Indianapolis more like a carnation.

Demand for tickets and travel packages to see the Huskers? first appearance in a Big 10 championship game appears weaker than expected, according to a University of Nebraska-Lincoln official, a ticket broker and a travel agent.

The NU athletic ticket office had sold about half its allotment of 15,000 tickets as of Monday, more than three days after they went on sale. Any of the 7,500 remaining tickets unsold by 11 a.m. Wednesday will be returned to Ticketmaster, said Holly Adam, assistant athletic director for ticketing.

Is this your brother in law, muffler?

Explaining lukewarm demand for Saturday night?s game in Lucas Oil Stadium can be tougher than outrunning Taylor Martinez. The prevailing theory is that many fans already have put the contest in the win column and are saving their pennies for Pasadena ? where the Huskers will play in the Rose Bowl on New Year?s Day if they defeat the Wisconsin Badgers.

"When it came down to it, I really don't want to go to Indianapolis in December when I can wait a month and go to a place that's got a little better climate and a lot more fun," said Husker fan Bill Fleck of Omaha.
Fleck said he and his wife, Samantha, discussed attending Saturday?s game, but they just couldn?t get excited about a 600-mile, one-way drive from Omaha to Indianapolis. Nor could they justify dropping $1,200 on a pair of plane tickets, especially when the flights would have required connections and taken more than six hours each way.

If the Huskers lose Saturday night, most football analysts say they likely will be invited to a game in Florida when bowl match-ups are officially announced Sunday.

What a bunch of tards. Sheesh. I can understand not going because of fundage, but thinking that the win is in because it's Bucky?!? :shake:

I don't wanna hear a single mofo when we lose.

This is part of the reason why I like the Pac-12s consideration of playing it in a team's home stadium instead of a neutral location.

Nope. He's low on the income totem pole and has no connections. I have no idea if he'd attempt to go to the game, but I would imagine that IF he was able to win every piece of APPLE merchandise by showing up to it, THEN he'd be there in a heartbeat.

There will be plenty of Husker fans in Indianapolis. I'm betting quite a few Chicago-area fans go down.

If there's a lukewarm response, it's likely because most people didn't expect us to get to this game and they went to other away games instead. We took over Northwestern's stadium, with about 2/3 of the crowd wearing red, and there were quite a few fans at Kinnick last week, too. With the tough six-game stretch we had and as well as Michigan looked last year, I'm betting everyone thought they'd win the Legends and were never planning on going to this game.

Bo said after the NU/OSU game that we had to win out. Nobody thought we would, so this comes as a bit of a surprise.
