Need Columbus Entertainment Advice

We are planning a couples' night out and decided on Columbus as it is more central to Youngstown, Cincinnati, Lima, and Dayton. It has been close to 10 years since I have been in Cbus.

Where is a good location for hotel, entertainment, etc. for a 35 and older crowd? Is it the Arena District?

Bridge Park up in Dublin (161 & 33) is a pretty new development with lots of restaurants (including Urban's Pint House) and places to stay.
A night out there for some drinks and mechanical bowling at Pins is about as crazy as my 35 and older self is up for these days.
