NEED VOTES! Stadium Battle tOSU vs Nebraska

In the days before the internet, magazines ran a lot of editor rankings. SI still does it once in a while. But it used to be far more common.

Back in the 80's, one of them (I think it was TSN) ranked Memorial Stadium as one of the 5 worst stadiums in the country because of its "acres of end-zone seating". One of the criteria for that article was the % of seats between the 20s, and Memorial stadium came in last on that criterion.

Memorial Stadium is landlocked by the local streets. That is why you have not seen expansion in the stands between the goal lines.

Fans that have had consecutive sellouts since 1962 should be able to get those streets moved!

Not that it's necessarily in the budget plans, but there's enough land in and around Lincoln to build something else if they couldn't just move the roads.

Well sure, maybe they could build elsewhere, but having to abandon their stadium would acknowledge its inadequacy wouldn't it?

Of course they could never build a multi-deck stadium so as not to encroach on the local streets. I mean, that's never actually been done, has it???
