New Uniforms/Nike Changes (Basketball)

Thanks for the article osugrad21...funny stuff.

The Syracuse guys shorts didn't look THAT big. I think those pictures exaggerate the size a little or something.

I really hope somebody goes for the long sleeves. That would look tight.

I thought Syracuse looked silly with their uniforms... The top wasn't quite as tight as I thought and didn't look too bad but the pants were ridiculously too long... looked like 5 MC Hammers running around the court.

First off, I don't care about the "Where Lebron would have went to school" question because it doesn't matter one ounce... it's just a bunch of chest-thumping talk from fans. With that said, in CNNSI's article about the new uni's they mention Lebron said would have played for Ohio State if he went to college... it's sources like this that give the OSU-connection some credibility:
you mean he pimped the school that's getting his logo? the only school? shocking.

Read the quoted part again... "has said" implies he said it sometime in the past, not for the purpose of this article.

BTW, I don't see any sources to back up your assertion that Lebron would have played for another school (again, I could care less about this non-issue... just pointing out why no one is agreeing with you).

they do need to take 2-4 inches off the shorts though.... seriously at that length wouldn't the shorts interfere with dribbling?
Possible, although it looks like the change is more in length than in bagginess.

I don't understand the universal message board cry for "sources" and "links". As if everything ever said is linked.....and that makes it official.

I highly doubt Lebron ever gave a second thought to where he would have gone to school, because he wasn't going to school and he probably knew that when he was in 9th grade. For all anybody knows, he said those things about going to Ohio State because he wanted to be nice.

I just don't think he would have ever played for Ohio State, because it wasn't what it is now. If the rule was in place then, I would bet money that he would have played his 1 year in the state of North Carolina.

interesting tidbits on unis

no more than 3 colors are allowed.
the striping is all mandate by rule also (min/max thicknesses)
you cant actually alter a tshirt and wear it under your uni (cut the sleeves of it, it has to be manufactured sleevless)
the sleeves have to be the same length
sleeves may not go down past the elbow

nooooo. I was looking forward to the longsleeve look!
by rule it is illegal. that being said im sure you could get medical clearance or something. but the long sleeve look isnt one youll see. maybe a tshirtish version, not that look.

edit when i say illegal it just means the player will be asked to leave the floor. will be subbed for and asked to remove the illegal equip and then is allowed to return to the floor. (no tech or anything)
