We're missing the bigger picture here- they got food?!? And it was actually real spaghetti, not spaghetti-o's? This was glossed over in the article, but if that little gem ever gets picked up we're really screwed. And Tressel had the balls to just sit there, eating his real spaghetti, right next to the guys as if there was nothing wrong. :shake:

I speak from personal experience that this goes on at every school. I personally was given as much salt, pepper, hot sauce, and Italian dressing as I wanted. I didn't experience it personally, but some players were given enough ranch dressing to drown a rat. If the NCAA is going to bust tOSU for this they need to bust every school from the Big 10 to the Big East and all the schools in between. Don't even get me started on the deserts and pizzas that I was given during my career. It is a travishamockery that the NCAA is even looking into this.

The bad news, it stretches to Ann Arbor too!

I'm with you exhawg, this is beyond the pale. Once again, we are being cited for something on the basis of hearsay, something that we all strongly suspect is going on at all NCAA Div 1 schools.

Unfortunately, I am sad to announce that there is a more serious problem at hand.

I have just verified from reliable sources that ESPiN investigative journalists have arrived in Detroit on three different flights during the past hour. On the basis that state universities are involved, they're gonna be tearing through Domino's Pizza with a subpoena, citing the Freedom of Information Act.

The article, due to break in the next breathtaking issue of ESPiN, the Ragazine, is titled, What did Tom Monaghan know, when did he know it and what did Tressel and Carr do to hook him up with their teams! Tressel, caught walking across the campus at tOSU, said he could not confirm nor deny that OSU football players had been seen eating pizza. Domino's, Pizza Hut and Little Caesar's executives did not respond immediately to calls.

This looks bad and to be based on the same kind of hard evidence as most of the other ESPiN allegations! It could get ugly.

What I want to know is who needs salt on their spaghetti in the first place? When I was their age we ate our spaghetti plain (ok, maybe a little parmessan) and didn't complain about it. What's with these pampered athletes and their sense of unearned entitlement? If it's true that this is a widespread practice, we need to re-examine our entire recruiting strategy and go back to recruiting a tougher breed of kid.

ps., I'll bet AJ Hawk doesn't put salt on his spaghetti. I'll bet Anthony Schlegel doesn't put salt on his spaghetti. I'll bet Thomas Matthews never even thought about putting salt on his spaghetti.

What I want to know is which booster is buying our kids condiments! When will these guys learn? These condiment boosters are as much to blame as anyone else.

Attention boosters: You should NOT procure condiments for student athletes!
Attention athletes: Do NOT accept ANY condiments offered to you!

How easy is that? When will these guys learn? Damn boosters.

Jesus Effing Christ...

Next thing you know... these guys will be driving around eating Mango Chutney on their Chicken and A-1 on their Cheeseburgers.

Where does it end.

Its just a step away from Premium Jams and Jellies...

Fuck.

All I need is some snot nosed spoiled Buckeye yappiong, "Ooh... can I have some gravy for My Mashed potatoes?" or "Could you please pass the Paulaner All fruit?"

"Can I have some Cherry Coke?"

Look fuckwads... I had to buy the grenadine for my coke on my own when I was a kid.

I'm tired of this coddling.
