Last night was just a LULZ for me. I had no dog in the fight, I love the old rivalries. But the refs basically forced themselves to decide the game by calling an offensive PI call on Crabtree that, by the letter of the law, was a penalty, but almost never gets called (and lets face it, if it did, then Irvin and Moss would have about 10 career receptions). So then, they have to go ticky tack the other way instead of “letting them play”, so there were two defensive holding penalties for stuff that had been let go all game. In a gam which Tyreke Hill got his helmet ripped off by the face mask and there wasn’t even a penalty called. The whole thing was a microcosm I’d everything wrong with the NFL.

There was a time, not so long ago, where Cook's great catch for the game-winning TD with 16 seconds left would've been the deciding play.

It's funny how he's down the moment his butt hits the ground, but "the process of the catch" continues until he fully lands and maintains control. By the time he finished "the process" he had reached the goal line. Either the play is over or it's not - can't be both. Well, it can't logically be both but we're talking about the NFL...:roll1:

Wow that Alonso guy should have been ejected for that hit on Flacco. That was absolutely absurd. Flacco done for the night if not longer....Officials need to treat all QBs the same, not just the chosen few.....

Just another reason the nfl is hemorrhaging viewers. Those rules are completely subjective and the way they are enforced is insulting to 85% of the fans watching the game. Add that in with a significant decline in the quality of play, and I think the nfl is in legitimate trouble. I’ve yet to watch a full game this year, and the pieces of the ones I have watched it looks like the scabs from the ‘87 season are out there. Just bad football.

I’m not a fan of the college targeting rule, but that was a sure fire ejection when reviewed. It was a blatant hit to the head taking the helmet off on a QB giving himself up in plenty of time to avoid the hit.

Lots of .500 teams and it is really hard to see a lot of difference in many teams.

That was one of the most vicious, unnecessary hits I’ve ever seen. He lowered his shoulder into his head as he was already prone. If that was Brady or Rodgers, Alonso’s carcass would be hung upside down in front of the league office. But it wasn’t, so it was just a fucking penalty. Fuck that shit.

That hit honestly made me wonder just what the fuck i’m watching. No joke. And the distance in Flacco’s eyes was fucking terrifying.

And the refs have lost any control of this game. It’s a bad look for the NFL all around.

Agree on all points about if it were Brady or Rodgers. And yes, that was a scary look by Flaco. Out on his feet. If you’re trying to change the culture of the game this isn’t how.

sorry last i checked Rodgers is out for the season on a non call hit on a qb. Brady is the only one who gets rules passed to save his ass
