NFL's easiest to hate teams

Thats back when there was only four teams and they just flipped a coin to see who got the championship right?
There were 3 teams, and they flipped 3 coins. If your team had the only head or tail, they won.

Disclaimer: This post was penned by a Steelers fan.

A lot of people on this site would probably rank the Steelers as highly hate-able for rivalry reasons, but removing all rivalry considerations from the equation, teams like the Steelers, Browns, Packers, etc. - teams that have great tradition and a blue-collar approach to the game - don't belong on this list, in my view. Instead, I'd load it up with glam teams and thug teams. This means you, Dallas, San Fran, Baltimore, Oakland. Playing in a dome also merits points on the hate-ability scale. So does having ever been identified with a signature dance. Uh oh, double whammy for you, Atlanta.

edit: A list of the most hate-able teams that includes a third of the league is too long. Hatred works better when focused.

I probably wouldn't hate them as bad if it weren't for their fans.
This describes my feelings for the Steelers. I grew up a Cowboys fan (still am), and I had to listen to their shit in the 70s. We're talking about a bunch of towel-waving dorks who can't name half the players on their team, much less anyone else in the NFL. A "We/They" crowd if there ever was one - "we kicked your ass!" or "they sucked!" - depending on whether the Steelers won or lost that weekend. Idiots...

I don't care much for the Redskins, Eagles or 49ers, either.

Sounds a hell of alot like Domer fans :)

I have been a life-long Steeler fan, Penguin fan, Pirate fan. I think all teams have those types of fans to an extent. All the Steeler fans I know (which is most of the area I live in) are diehard, love their team, and the city of Pittsburgh honestly.

Not to hijack the thread, but I would submit that Steelers fans are among the most dedicated and knowledgable, with respect to their team and football in general, in the country. If you want to point to fans who don't know shit about the game or about their team, Pittsburgh is not the place to look.

Yeah, I live in this god forsaken crap hole.

One thing I cannot say is that Steeler fans are idiots.

I don't like them (being a cowboy fan and all), but I'd put their fans near the top of the food chain for dedication. This whole town is black & gold Steeler fans. Always has been, always will be. I've lived in Illinois & Wisconsin. Only thing close I have seen is packer fans. But they still pale in comparison imho.

I always thought Chiefs fans were pretty stout.
