You know, for as big as the guy is, I'm thinking that he doesn't dominate the boards like you'd think. I don't see us driving to the basket much, but no surprise there. :tongue2:

I would be at this game if I didn't have to work. :(

Against Winthrop, he had 4 rebounds in 27 minutes. He's done better in other games, but its not a given. He did have a double-double against UNC, though (14 and 11, 4 blocks).

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

The goal now is to finish an up-and-down season where it began in November with one of each -- an up and a down. Shut out of the NCAA Tournament one year after reaching the championship game, the Buckeyes settled last night for a top seed in the National Invitation Tournament, which will play its semifinals and final April 1 and 3 in Madison Square Garden in New York.
"We started it there," senior Matt Terwilliger said. "We'll end it there, hopefully."
Ohio State (19-13), which was in contention for the last of the NCAA Tournament's 34 at-large bids, received one of four No. 1 seeds in the NIT and will play host to North Carolina-Asheville at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Value City Arena. The game will be televised by ESPN2.

The best thing about this is that it is very good for the young guys...Also may make KK want to come back as the team was unable to make it to the tourney...

Hopefully we are able to get a couple more weeks of practice in, as we could be playing a couple more weeks, also get some tourney experience even tho it is not the big dance, and also hopefully send the seniors out on a high note, other than going to the big dance and losing a first round game...

As for UNC-Ashville they are a pretty solid team, they have played Va Tech, UNC, and Tennessee this year and while not real close games, all were within 15 points...

Their leading scorer is 6ft sr guard Bryan Smithson who is averaging 16pts/game and shoots over 40% from behind the arc.

They have 5 guys averaging double figures which makes for a well balanced attack...

The big guy only gets about 19 minutes/game and doesn't start, but he will present a presence in the paint when he is in there...

I would hope with depth and athleticism we would win this game by double figures...

Hopefully people show up for this game as well, I know all the students are probably gone on spring break, and it is an early game on a weeknight......Heck give the whole town of Newark tickets, they were pretty loud the other day...

Kenny's going to have a fun time guarding Koufos, especially since he doesn't seem all that physical and seems incredibly slow... perfect for Kosta. I can see him pick and popping Kenny to death. Playing a fast game or driving it at him and getting him in foul trouble could neutralize him as well.

Just based on what I know of them, I think we match up very favorably with them. I'm not worrying about our motivation, but we have to play hard for 40 minutes and not take 45 seconds off at any point. If we can get a solid 40, we will win this game.

I also think if we score the most points, we will win this game.

EDIT: The two keys I see to this game are defending the 3-ball and boxing out.
