They are going with the interim and current staff for 2023. No other options when leadership is on vacation, and apparently, not interested in coming back any time soon.

Yup - and announcing a two week suspension and then completely firing him was likely a procedural error too (See O'Brien, Jim for an example), which will get the case heard just on that technicality.

NW just needs to settle, cut the big check and move on. They fucked this up.
