Without Breaston or someone else for Henne to throw "prayers" to.. and with their soft, somewhat slow defense, Michigan is a very average football team. Don't be surprised If they only beat Indiana and Penn State in league play. This team would not have been ranked high when we played them even if they had beat Notre Dame... which also, in my opinion is very average. I'm not impressed with either of their wins but the polls will be, until they play some truly good teams.

Just got back from the Purdue game, which was decent. Student section is pretty good, rest of the atmosphere..eh, bore me. I was rooting for the Zips deep down though even though my sister is there.

Any way, during the game they kept updating the score and all I could think to myself was "what is that one thing about Lloyd? Lose one early, lose one in the BigTen and lose a bowl game?" is that right? Good to see 3-loss-Lloyd on top of his game!

I did not see much of the game, but liked what I did see. Having a competitive ND squad may be good this year, especially if they can handle USC, which is a big if. Anything to knock michigan back to reality.

I'll happily admit that ND has always been my second favorite team after the Buckeyes. The fact that they always play scUM West (whom I truly hate!) and usually play scUM, only cements my rooting for them.

That ND win over scUM was by far the sports highlight of the weekend (given a Buckeye and Browns loss).

I only hope that ND is truly "back" (though I doubt it) and can somehow beat scUM West.
