Maybe the powers that be are made up of a bunch of dudes that were molested by priests and they like to see the Catholics get bent over by real football teams. In all honestly if you were a ND fan would you rather see your team get in the playoff with 2 losses and get smoked by Bama by 50 pts or go to another New Years game against a more manageable opponent? I take that back ND gets smoked in every single BCS level game they play so maybe they are better off in the 3rd tier bowl games.

much like their close cousins in AA, I don't think ND fans posses the self awareness to even consider their lucky as hell two loss team isn't really that good and would get smoked by Bama.

Plus USC and then duck the ACC Playoff game because "we're special." We just need the conference for Basketball and women's sports.

I'm looking hard and I don't but 1 or 2 POTENTIAL losses. They'll be in the negotiations, if not in the playoffs. Why? It's a TV/media thing. Y'all wouldn't understand.

I remember all the rumors, whispering, and discussion about finally getting a FB team the year and a half that I went there. Would have loved having a FB team when I was going there, but the soccer team was our substitution.

Since this is the ND thread, though...fuck'em. Hope they find a way to go 6-6.

USC looked like shit against UNLV too. Looks like a lot of paper tigers on their schedule. I think VT and Northwestern are their toughest games

VT looked like world beaters in The Shoe in 2014, and then proceeded to shit the bed the rest of the season, which is why we had to ape-fuck Wiscy the way we did just to get into the playoffs. I'm not counting on VT to do shit against ND, although I'll be rooting for them to hang 50+ on the Irish...

I know just have to be hopeful that they're different this year because they're the only team on that schedule that I think is halfway capable of giving the domers a plunger.
