Our OL right now is very good, but not dominant against excellent defenses. We've faced two of those this season so far, with another to come in a couple of weeks. Were we to make the playoffs, we'd face either one or two more. It's very good, but probably all-in-all the weakest spot of our team, which isn't surprising given its youth, inexperience and lack of highly ranked recruits to that position.
Agreed. IMO it is clearly the weakest link. We are paying for the dry recruiting years.

Given the great play of JT this year I think the original question is pretty easily answered. Having Brax or the 2013 could have been enough to get by VTech but, sitting where we are at this point in the season I would easily take last years OL to finish out the season.

*Edit: It's amazing how much of an opportunity Kyle Dodson is missing out on. You don't get any better of an opportunity than this young man has had. It was obvious in the spring game that he was nowhere close to being ready and we haven't heard anything positive since then. What a shame. I realize he was hurt early but he should be a factor by now.

This O-line is, uh, a problem. But let's be honest, it's composed of Taylor Decker, a couple converted defensive players, and a couple linemen whose best offer from schools other than Ohio State was Northwestern. I think all of the years of lackluster O-line recruiting is coming home to roost this season.

Houston, I think we still have a problem. Sparty could make things ugly. I still think this OL unit has improved since VaTech, but I don't think the talent level along this line is ever going to allow it to be what it needs to be for us to hang with teams featuring NFL caliber linemen. I hope I'm wrong.

Geez, who's the asshole ragging on the O-line???
