Obscure and unusual websites almost as awesome as BP

I'm using the Internet!!!
The internet is cool and all, but sometimes it's difficult to locate entertaining and intersting things on it while sifting through forums full of pre-pubescent 15 year olds calling each other gay and places where fun goes to die like slashdot.org. Therefore, I submit these websites that I got a kick out of, for your viewing pleasure, and encourage you to do the same.

http://www.fark.com - Of course. A little bit of everything here. Interesting news galore.

http://www.cockeyed.com/ - harmleess pranks, interesting art projects, details on how scams work, and the popular "How much is inside" feature.

http://spamusement.com/ - Random doodles based off of spam subject lines.

http://www.research.att.com/projects/tts/demo.html - Text to speech converter.

http://www.opendirectories.net - Oh my god, this is almost the best thing ever. Saves lots of time searching for mp3s. (Keep this on the down low.)

http://www.askmen.com - Not as good as what it used to be. But full of helpful information.

One of my favorite sites is http://straightdope.com. Cecil Adams is a columnist for the Chicago Reader, and for the last 30 years he's been answering weird/esoteric questions on every topic under the sun. He'll take on any question, from science to history to sexual oddities, and all of his columns are archived on the site. Go to the "Search" page and type in a keyword for something you've always wanted to know. Odds are, it'll be there.
