Hartline explains how the fans, for the most part, probably expect a dropoff, while the team certainly does not.

That's what I like to hear. BTW, Hartline is currently #3 in the Heisman rankings going into scUM week in my first season on NCAA 08. 66 recptions, 1147 Yards and 15 TD's, and he's also returned a kick for a TD.

The thing about Hartline that I absolutely love is, after the catch, the man runs with a reckless abandon. It seemed like on almost all the catches he had in the open last year, he made damn sure he was going to get every extra inch he could before being brought down. Opposing defenses beware, because he's going to slip a lot of tackles and bust out some huge runs.

I don't think the general Buckeye audience is expecting a huge year out Hartline. I tend to think more people are expecting big years out of Small and Robiskie. But Hartline's toughness is going to make him a fan favorite this year very fast.

I recall his Mom's quotes on how much he seeks out contact...since he was a little kid. Enjoys hitting and stick'n his nose into trouble. Great football attitude, along with some classy moves and speeeeed.

He destroyed an Indiana kick returner last year...

Wasn't it Hartline that took out two linebackers with a block on Gonzalez's amazing touchdown last year against Iowa?

I think one of them was actually a DT (Mitch King maybe), even though Iowa's DTs are so undersized they might as well be linebackers.

With a returning starting QB, I think I would expect more. Without one, not so much. I mean I expect JT to try to shorten games this season and there to be fewer chances for Hartline, Robiskie and Small.
