“There’s nothing I can really say. All I would say is that in hindsight, I probably would’ve rather went to bed than rode in a side-by-side," Hartline said.

“Everything provides a learning opportunity, and I would say it was a learning opportunity,” Hartline said.

He doesn’t owe anyone an explanation but hey yeah let’s keep asking about it weeks later because off-season
What else is the off season for except asking about extra circulars and endless speculation on how x will do with little proof except spring

Oh and in the last decade or so conference realignment that's what the offseason is for.

If he hadn't done so before, we now know that Hartline is at a level of success as an assistant to where his name will be floated when EVERY SINGLE HC position opens up. The idiocy level of thinking he'd leave as OC at OSU for HC at NW is asinine! And honestly, the UC position was probably better than NW and he turned that down

I’m not paranoid if they really are out to get me! Or should I say…out to get Coach.

That is comically misguided, took me a bit to stop laughing at that. Hartline won't be here forever with his coaching and recruiting abilities (unless promoted to HC eventually), but I would be stunned if it was this year. Plus do you think he can make his style of offense work in Northwestern with that weather and the academic hurdles they have with recruiting (real ones, not the ones ttun makes up to feel better about missing a recruit)? Plus you have the fact that the new coach will need to be squeaky clean after all this and there was the recent incident with Hartline...yes, minor incident that I think was overblown, but I don't think NW wants to go there right now being in the cross-eyes of the media.

So, color me not concerned on Hartline leaving before the end of this season.
