2025 OH QB Tavien St. Clair is a Buckeye!!!

Saw his highlights and he looked very comfortable in the pocket, showed good mobility and a strong, accurate arm. Me likey.
Enormous arm talent and was very impressed with his desire to make plays with his arm.

When kids are as big and fast as he is it’s easy to just take off but he rolled the pocket to throw instead of to run.

Blown away by game 1 for a kid that’s a Junior.

Is he going to be throwing against air all season or will he get some competition?
Competition won't be the best until they get to the playoffs, but I'm not concerned with this kid. He is making big boy throws constantly even if the competition is not elite. Keep in mind Burrow played similar competition in Athens (worse really)...but I get your point, it would be nice to see him play against some top teams.

The fact that the score was even that close is a testament to Tavien and Bellefontaine.
That's how you can sometimes tell when a kid may turn into something from HS, regardless of the competition. He's good enough to put his team on his back to make plays that keep his team in the game or win when they're not supposed to. There's such a talent gap in HS that sometimes guys who are rated high can take drives off, and they form bad habits and think they can do that at the next level. St. Clair is definitely not one of those recruits

Tavien St. Clair
: Shortly after getting his Ohio State offer in late May, St. Clair visited Alabama and LSU and took a Southern swing. He landed a Michigan offer as well, but his heart was with the Buckeyes and he committed to them in late June. St. Clair is off to a phenomenal start to his junior season at Bellefontaine, Ohio, completing nearly 70% of his passes for 660 yards with eight touchdowns and one pick. If that pace continues, St. Clair could be in line to break some records as he’s also moved up within the position rankings in this new release.
