#1 MOELLER 28, #9 ST. XAVIER 7

Gotta try our best to not let this kid leave the state, those type of stats against St X in the playoffs is absurd.

No way he can leave the state. He needs to be a serious priority

I'm sure he'll be a top priority, but GCL kids are always a tough pull (not impossible, just tough), especially if ND is doing well. Here's hoping he recognizes the value in the good guys.

It’s that more difficult in this case, because Marshall didn’t grow up a Buckeye fan. So is recruitment is literally wide open

The most important recruit in 2024 imimho. We really need to land this kid more ways than 1.

OHIO STATE PUTTING FULL-COURT PRESS ON FOUR-STAR 2024 RUNNING BACK JORDAN MARSHALL, WHO HOPES TO COMMIT BY EARLY SUMMER

Running back is one of the most important positions for Ohio State to recruit in the 2024 cycle.

Considering the Buckeyes may not take a running back in 2023, OSU desperately needs a premier tailback to anchor its 2024 class, and maybe even two. Its top target may just reside in the state of Ohio.

Four-star 2024 Cincinnati running back Jordan Marshall started his junior season by picking up an offer from Ohio State after an impressive recruiting camp workout in June. He ended it by being named the Ohio Division I co-Offensive Player of the Year after he ran for 1,951 rushing yards, scored 34 total touchdowns and racked up 364 receiving yards this season. But Marshall and Archbishop Moeller saw their season end prematurely with a loss to Springfield in the state semifinals, so the 5-foot-11, 195-pound running back still feels he has plenty to prove.

Ohio State will be a strong contender for Marshall’s commitment. So will Michigan, Penn State and Tennessee, which are all schools Marshall visited this fall. Marshall will continue to be patient in the coming months, as he expects a few more offers to roll in before he determines which five schools he’d like to make official visits to. But Marshall is closer to the end of his process than he is to the beginning.

“Relationships are really big, and how much they win,” Marshall said regarding the most appealing things to him about Ohio State. “I want to win and I want to compete for a national championship someday and they're going to do that. So just that part and then coach day and Alford are great people and I love being around them every time I’m at Ohio State. So just those guys and you can tell the bond and everything they have there.”

This kid is the truth.
Just watched his Jr season highlights.

I'm now hoping we sign 0 RB's in this class.
Free up the depth chart for him as part of the 24 class.

Keep in mind (I doubt all stay but) we have Hendo, Myian, Dallan, Chip, and Pryor next year.

Take 2 next year.
Oh and hope we get our crap together on NIL.
I was verbally assaulted for saying months ago the Schmails kid was in over his head.

We shouldn’t need Chip if the other 4 can stay healthy,or at least 3 of them. Marshall is the top RB I want for 2024, and then take a look at some of the national guys. But Williams-Dixon in OH is also a really good RB as well

I’m throttling back on “national guys” or really any top 100 prospects from Ohio or not until we figure out if we want to compete from an NIL perspective or a governing body buts some guardrails on NIL.
I’m trying to assume we do. And in my head, if that’s the case, then it’s business as usual

Marshall is a possibility, but we're not in the lead right now. This one will take a lot of work and great recruiting. Agreed that I want him more than any recruit at RB in this class, but I would embrace the idea of not securing his commitment. I know we kind of assume any Ohio prospect who gets an offer will land here, but not the case on this one. But if he does land here, you can plan on me posting every GIF that is appropriate.
