Game Thread Ohio 14, Ohio State 26 (Sept. 6)

Though it wasn't pretty, a win is a win. This may have been the "scare" that we needed. As always.....

LETS GO BUCKS!!!!

A little reminicent of the Nat'l Champ year when we squeaked by Cincy.

Definately scary...our O-line has to get nastier next week. And I still think our playcalling needs to get pretty creative to throw some new looks at USC.

Win and move on...2 down.

GO BUCKS!

By the way, Anderson Russell starting out 1 for 1 on pick opportunities...yeah baby!

That was one bad game from top to bottom.

Hopefully it's just a case of looking ahead to what promises to be a HUGE game on a national stage. I'd hate to think what's going to happen if Ohio State comes out and looks even half as bad as they looked today.

2-0 is all that counts at this point.

Herron should've gotten the ball throughout the whole game. I like MoW and Herron running the ball today. Saine did better today! Bottom line is we'll need beanie and just about everyone else on our team to show up or next will be very ugly because USC will not scale it down. They will blow us out if we give them that chance. Whatever, its a win but we got some major things to work on this week.

The one thing I did like from this game though was that our pressure was very noticeable on defense. Next week Sanchez will not be running around like Boo was today so hopefully that pressure can pay off more next week.

Overall very poor performance today, but whatever..... Maybe this is what we needed. The past 3-4 years we've been blowing out everyone that's been not as good but I think its given us a false sense of confidence. Maybe just maybe a win like this will show this team how to bare down and get the job done when things get tough.

Also I'm very concerned for the DT's. Improvements? what improvments? Zero pressure, and they constantly get swallowed up inside. The ends were feirce today but need to come in under control and not so crazily.

Small was the best offensive weapon we had this week and was impressive last week I thought as well. He has the type of speed and moves we need in a reciever to get open. Robo/Hartline got to find ways to seperate.
