I didn't realize you had to be a Journalism major to put a sentence together with subject/verb agreement. That's like saying only Accounting majors know how to count to ten.

That's why I'm staying away from the arguments on here about which school is better. I have plenty of friends who have degrees from OU or OSU and most of them are still idiots. With the exception of some specialized programs, these are both pretty mediocre academic universities that produce a lot of mediocre graduates. Just sayin'...

"286496" - I'd say it's pretty definite that you can't, in fact, count to 10. :p

Bobcats illegally parked equipment truck gets "booted" while loading up at the stadium for the trip to Columbus.

And another thing....Anyone seen wearing Ohio State paraphernalia on campus this week, ESPECIALLY ON GAME DAY should be confronted. In an ideal world if the offender is a current student, they should be reported to Dean of Students office and expelled from school.

If you want to be an OSU fan that bad where you are willing to root against your own school than go to Columbus for an education.
Good luck with that lawsuit.

The wearing of other school's apparel was dealt with rather sternly by Dean Lombardi at all of this summer's freshmen orientations. He actually called-out students, made them stand up in front of their peers and parents, and explain why they decided to put that Ohio State shirt on when they were attended Ohio University orientation event. There were about 200 students and their parents in attendance during these events. He went on to tell them that wearing other school's stuff on OUr campus was not acceptable and then gave each of the culprits an Ohio University tee shirt and made them put it on. He made it clear to all the incoming freshmen that they chose to come to Athens and loyalty is expected from each and every student on campus. I don't know how many years this has been done but at least someone is trying to make changes in the student's attitudes about school loyalty. I respect Dean Lombardi for his efforts and his willingness to step up and take a stand.

I would have told this assclown the same thing that I told everyone at Washington and Jefferson College when they would ask me why I didn't go to Ohio State: "If I would have been 6'2", 220 lbs and could run a 4.5 forty I would have been at Ohio State in a second, but I'm also smart enough to realize that you don't base where you are going to continue your higher education simply by what football team you grew up rooting for, nor do you stop rooting for said football team simply because you decided to continue your education elsewhere."

From Ohio's U's mesage board....

One guys post is basically telling them that after seeing OSU last week against Miami that they have no chance and that he will be.....

By the way, I have media access to the game and will be taking photos from the sidelines. If I can do anything for the benefit of Bobcat Attack, I'd be glad to do so.

The reponses:
1. Take a nice picture of the corner of the stadium where all the OU fans will be sitting after the Cats take the lead late in the 4th.

2. Show no mercy on them....Bobcats by 17. :)

3. If, and only IF (and that is a huge if) we can fix all our kinks on offense AND at least some on special teams then I'm calling it 13-10 cats with a last minute field goal from the 50. Yes I realize that is too specific to call but I figure what the heck, I'll have fun with this one....

I believe the OSU defense will have something to say about the "kinks" in Ohio's attack. Even if the kinks were fixed it will not matter as OSU "D" will put the "kinks" back in......

Delusional fans at their best...:slappy:

Dang, I don't check in on BP for over a day and shit blows up

30 years? When I was looking into colleges Ohio State welcomed anyone with a pulse and OU had the higher standards... damn... I'm old, that was 20 years ago... ok nevermind then.

ORD has some hard-on for talking down the other universities in Ohio. Has been doing it for years, I just try to ignore him. All I know is 100 years ago the decision for what university in this state was going to get the upper hand. For whatever reason it was given to a new university that had one powerful ally (Hayes). Was there other reasons? Probably, and I am sure there was some dirty politics involved, but it was OVER 100 YEARS AGO!!! So I doubt anyone here other than BB was around to witness it, and alot of the real reasons for it happening aren't really easily available. And really, I don't care. It happened and it's water over the bridge.

Don't mess with my fellow classmate! Had a few beers and shot some stick with him at Night Court on our graduation night. The hot college girls that threw themselves on him were priceless and it was great to be right there to console them for failing to try to get a piece of him.

Hey, if Governor Hayes hadn't done the right thing for tOSU, I wouldn't have arranged that deal that let him beat Tilden in the 1876 election. :wink2:

It was the Dugout for a long time and then it became Mama Einstein's. $0.75 Icehouse drafts and free pool at Happy Hour on Wednesday. Best deal in Athens except for the $1 Guinness pint special at the Skull! If you like live music, you can't leave out the Swindlefish. Ekoostik Hookah used to play there! You see, folks, this is the stuff that OU grads should be talking about. Let's leave the football talk to the experts in Columbus.

Man, that name takes me back to my college days at OSU. Roommate knew one of the guys from the band and we partied with them a couple of times after their shows at The Newport.

Shit, I am getting old. :(

It was right across from the BP Gas Station and had that lower entrance... dang it. Will remember eventually...

So many awesome bars that could fit whatever mood you were in at that time.

The Dugout...I got arrested for underage consumption there. :(

Ouch. kc286496 is actually my e-mail address from the old OAK e-mail system at OU and it just carried over as a login ID ever since. Hopefully, the Buckeyes put up TEN touchdowns on Saturday so I can get some practice counting.

Funny, after 15 years of leaving Athens (grad school) my wife and I decide to finally go through all the boxes we had been porting around with us as we moved a few times. From the other side of the basement I hear my wife yell, "Hon???? Think you'll ever log onto the OU VAX system again? If not, do you think it's ok to toss this VAX manual?"

Good memories of OAK. LOL.

Gonna be at the game on Sat with my son. I'll be with groups of friends from my OSU days and some from my OU days... and the circles don't intersect. I'm gonna get crap from both sides, in spades.

Either way, I'll be sporting the S&G and a OU LAX hat... cuz that damn attack kitten is stuuuuuuupid. It's a good weekend for those of us who happily call both schools home. Our favorite football team wins the game our other school goes home with a cool million in the back pocket. Not a bad day.
