Game Thread Ohio State 33, Washington 14 (Final)

That was an outstanding win fellas and earned some much needed respect for a conference which was on the ropes in regards to public opinion. I wouldn't be surprised if at the end of the Season, Washington is 4th or 5th in a strong Pac 10, and both the Buckeyes and Big Ten can point to that game as a reason for legitimacy and recognition for in conference success. The difficulty of beating them comfortably on the road need not be underestimated.

The Big 11 is probably a 3 team race between: PSU, Wisconsin, and OSU. I'm rooting for everyone to destroy scUM because nobody wants to be the team that lost to the team that loss to Appalachian State.

This was a very nice win for JT and the Buckeyes. I was watching the game and was thinking that this is the third win where we have done better in the 2nd half. I guess that makes us a 2nd half team. But then I realized something. That is that it isn't the team that is producing these wins but the coaching staff. The coaches are using the talent that they have and molding it and shaping it every play and every series and every half into the kind of team it takes to win the game. Since it has been several years since we have had this young of an offense I guess I had forgotten that sometimes the team just has to learn how to play an how to win.
I absolutely knew that when Grant got that sack to stop a Husky threat that the game turned right then. Then Jenkins got a good play on an out pass. Right then I knew we had the game. And sure enough that led to our 2 3rd Q td's and the Defense was awakened and then the offense came to life and Now we are defined for this year.
Our team has the confidence it now needs and has been looking for since the season started. Today they grew up. Oh they still may lose but now they know who they are and how good they are.
Now they know for sure that they are BUCKEYES.

Good post. Ironically, the turning point seemed to come right at the point we got that personal foul penalty for the late hit out of bounds.
