Anyone else dissapointed Tress didn't go for it on 4th and 3 with 5 minutes and change remaining? I had a bad feeling when we punted the ball, I so wish he's have went for it

I was very disappointed in that decision. Easily could have gotten that first down I'm so frustracted, mad, and disappointed i might throw up.

You don't convert you lose. The way our d gave them 30 yards after we initially punted they would've went up a TD. Personally I would've been happier if we let Pryor continue to pick them apart with 40 seconds left instead of trying some bomb like there was 4 seconds left.

I'd just like to drop the frustration by playing scUM and the bowl game now though. I mean I have no desire to watch Illinois and Northwestern, although revenge is sweet.

As far as QB controversy? There is none. Pryor made 1 mistake. He's a freshman. I expect at least 4 per game. Boeckman would get killed with the line play, it's not his fault, but it would still happen. Pryor played fantastic tonight, and with one proper spot we're hailing him as god with no mistakes in a big time game. I don't know about you guys, but I'm proud as hell of our guys. That was a championship caliber team we just played.

A couple other things:

1) They said Penn St. had no penalties, guess they forgot that offensive pass interference penalty in the first quarter. :roll1:

2) Bryant Browning got absolutely embarrassed. That wasn't even fair.

3) Is anyone seeing Dimitrious Stanley ripping the staff for not running the ball more even though Wells was getting stuffed the whole first half?

They need to get this pimp-suit wearing clown off of the air.

4) If Pryor ever learns to quit throwing off of his back foot, watch out!!

5) Pryor absolutely DESPISES losing and I LOVE IT!!!

6) Have I said how ridiculous Dimitrious Stanley is?

My opinion:

The season is indeed over. We will win out and go to a mean less Bowl. However there is still a chance we can get in the Rose Bowl. Nov. 22 will feel very weird when OSU vs. Michigan is not the showcase game of the day. Penn State vs. Michigan State will be the big game of the day.
This game was a death wish for Ohio State Media Wise. This adds more fuel to the fire for non Ohio State fans who think we always choke in big games.
I had a bad feeling about this game because every time a night game recently has been played at the shoe we lost. Texas few years back. Illinois playing into the night last year and now Penn State.
A Pryor fumble basically lost this game for us. That was a momentum changer and OSU never recovered from it. Pryor will grow from this game and I have High hopes for Ohio State Next Year.
Pryor will come back better then ever and we host USC at the Shoe. Next season will be our year to have a great chance at another championship run.

Go Buckeyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now i need a drink to ease the pain:(

No, I heard them say Ohio State QB situation. Not PSU.

No, you heard Brent say "Could there be a QB controversy with PSU?"

And then you heard Kirk say "Can I squash this for JoePa?"

Boeckman is done. With only 3 games left, and a bowl game, there is no reason to backtrack, Boeckman will be gone after this season anyway and the more playing time TP gets, especially with his true Frosh C, the better. We all love Boeckman, he is the definition of a Buckeye, and he did what he needed to do when he needed to do it. No reason to be negative or upset about it. But the Terrelle Pryor Era started a during the SC game, and was solidified the next week against Troy.

...

The one that was declined to make them punt? Yeah, they forgot that one. Probably because it didn't end up in the stat sheet.

Yeah, but because it was declined, doesn't that nullify it in the stats?

I understand they were wrong when they said "No penalties" I was just asking.

Absolutely. I'm worried for his safety this week, he might promote self injury. He's going to put himself fully responsible for today, and that is a leader and the man I want in front of my football team. Even with the mistake, that's the guy I want to QB this team for the next 3 and a half years.

It was a good game. JT was calling it exactly right when we were up 6-3 and moving the ball. Hell yes we run the clock. We've held Penn St to 3 points into the 4th quarter. Turn overs are game killers.

I too sorta wish we'd gone for it on 4th and 3, but that's not tressel. Pryor will be a great one, he's a young kid and he'll learn from this. Sucks that he was on the bench by himself. I would have liked to see a senior captain over there with him.

We lost this game because the oline couldn't run block to save their lives. Beanie had no place to run the entire game...can't win games like that.

You fail at handling adversity. The season isn't over, that will be proven next the team suits up and takes a field.

I question fans who feel seasons are only about winning out, making the title game, and/or winning the conference. Are these critical goals? Absolutely. My question is in regards to 'fans' figuratively throwing teams away just because goals aren't or won't be met.

Finally, why do you care what the media says? Do you really need talking heads and opposing fan bases to respect Ohio State in order to enjoy the sport and team as a spectator? Stop watching, listening to, and/or reading them -- you'll enjoy games much more.

The problem was that TP was thrust into the starting position without being 100% prepared. Mistakes like the fumble and the INT are going to happen. What is frustrating is that he was thrust into this position in the first place. And with the rumors of possible transfers in the QB position, he is going to be even more "the man". Not the optimum situation, even with someone of the talent of TP.
