The quarterback capital of the college football world may be Columbus, Ohio

It’s another big week for Ohio State recruiting.

Four-star QB Emory Jones in the middle of a 2-day visit

A mere five hours after securing a commitment from the top dual-threat QB in the 2017 class, the No. 2 dual-threat QB in 2018 arrived in Columbus for a two-day visit. Making his first visit to Ohio State, Emory Jones (Franklin, GA / Heard County) and his mother made it to Columbus early Monday morning.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and 193 pounds, the four-star QB likely sits atop Ohio State's QB big board for the 2018 class. Despite already having 17 offers, Jones is considered an Ohio State lean in the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions. He has recently stated that he wants to trim his list of schools down soon, but he is not certain of when. What he does know, is that Ohio State will make the cut.

The two-day visit to Columbus will give the Ohio State coaching staff an opportunity to show Jones what the University has to offer and the staff will look to leave a big impression on the Georgia native, as it could be a while before he finds himself back on campus.

Just touched down in Columbus ⭕❗

Ohio State offers Elite 2019 LB

Arguably the No. 1 player in the 2019 class, Owen Pappoe (Loganville, GA / Grayson) announced he received a scholarship offer from Ohio State. Pappoe has elite size standing at exactly 6-feet, while weighing in at 200 pounds.

Despite only having played one year in high school, Pappoe has shown enough to receive 33 offers from some of the best college football programs in the country. Additionally, he is the youngest athlete ever to be invited Nike's The Opening camp.

Pappoe has already shown he has the intangibles to be a force on the defensive side of the ball. As of now, 247Sports' Crystal Ball prediction has Pappoe staying in SEC country, and going to Tennessee. It's smart for Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes to get involved early, as they have time to lure the Georgia native to Big Ten country.

Blessed to say i have been offered by The Ohio State University ⚪⚫pic.twitter.com/86FHHPH92J

KJ Henry announces Ohio State visit this week

One of the highest rated DE's in the 2018 class announced a visit to Ohio State this week. KJ Henry's (Clemmons, NC / West Forsyth) announcement came as a somewhat surprise, as he has not yet received a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes.

Visits this week:

Tuesday- Louisville @UofLFootball

Wednesday- Ohio State @OhioStateFB

— thekjhenry_ (@ywd_ballislife) June 13, 2016

Ohio State will likely have more room in its 2018 recruiting class than this year, so if Wednesday's visit goes well, expect an offer to follow shortly for the No. 2 rated weak-side defensive end. Henry has been receiving more attention as of late, which includes some visits to the schools that have offered the North Carolina native.

As of now, he has 17 offers already this year, including the likes Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina and Louisville.

The visit will the fifth in Henry's recruitment process, and the first time to Ohio State. The four-star DE has already visited Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and will be visiting Louisville today.

Could Tate Martell bring a couple five-star WR's with him?

Ohio State's commitment from five-star QB Tate Martell (Las Vegas, NV / Bishop Gorman) may bring more benefits than that of just securing a the No. 1 dual threat QB in 2017. A day after committing to the Buckeyes, Martell began recruiting some of the highest-regarded play makers in the 2017 class. Craziest part is, it might have worked.

Y'all wanna see a scary sight...

2017 Ohio State Buckeye WR's

— Tate Martell (@TheTateMartell) June 13, 2016

Trevon Grimes (Fort Lauderdale, FL / St. Thomas Aquinas,) Tyjon Lindsey (Corona, CA / Centennial,) and Donovan Peoples-Jones (Detroit, MI / Cass Technical) are all five-star WR's and all have offers from Ohio State.

Peoples-Jones responded to Martell's Tweet shortly after:

Grimes has Ohio State included in his list of top schools and has repeatedly clarified that Ohio State is the current favorite of the group. However, the real benefits may come with Lindsey, who has been showing more interest towards the Buckeyes this year than last.

Lindsey and Martell were high school teammates just a couple years ago, and that connection could be something they want to reunite. Bill Kurelic of Bucknuts believes just this, so much so that he submitted a crystal ball prediction for Ohio State Monday.

It is likely that Ohio State could secure a commitment from at least two of the three WR's Martell tweeted, the least likely being Peoples-Jones. Either way, Urban Meyer is showing off with what he has already done with the 2017 recruiting class.
