CJ Jackson is a winner. That shot was pure ice in the veins. Also had 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 1 TO. 50% on his 3s.
Great comeback game for KBD, so glad to see him play well. He was more decisive with the ball tonight and also I don't think IU put a help defender on him as much as some other teams have recently. Wasn't the most efficient scoring day for him but, goodness gracious, 24 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks, 1 turnover? Are you kidding me? You can add his positive stats besides pts and rebounds together to make into a triple double for him, lol.
We had an advantage inside with Kaleb that we didn't utilize to the full extent we could have but IU was smart about getting Kaleb in foul trouble. He really will have to work on that. Fortunately, Potter gave us a few good things when he had to come in for Kaleb.
Another great game for Kam. So glad to see him playing this way after the suspension (as opposed to Loving post-suspension, ugh) because we really need his offensive presence out there.
Tate had too many dumb turnovers (as did Dakich) but also had 6 assists. Very Tate-like performance, he definitely helped. Dakich did not help so much but at least he had 4 assists to go with his 4 turnovers.
Andre was not quick enough to defend IU's guys without fouling. IU is basically playing small-ball right now and their guys are pretty athletic so it's not surprising but, yeah, I don't like Andre in a game like this. IU definitely put us on our heels a bit on D. They saw some of the ways we struggled against PSU and they capitalized tonight by playing quick, smaller line-ups (but with size advantages at guard) and just attacking the basket. We had a difficult time defending without fouling, the way the game was being called. Big foul disparity, to be expected at Assembly Hall, for sure.
It's so weird how we're very either/or on Potter and Young right now. I guess Holtmann has a mindset of one or the other in the game to game situation and must be deciding which based on practices and match-ups.
I can't remember rooting for a Wisconsin team as hard as I will be rooting for them this weekend.
Absolutely incredible that this OSU has played their last B1G game this season and still has hope of a B1G title.
