I've been watching every game this year but rarely commenting to avoid getting banned. But damn was this a fun win. Any day you beat that state up north, it's a great day...even in women's water polo. But delivering the punch that likely keeps them out of the tournament? Priceless. Another great day to be a Buckeye, ***k you *ichigan.

3. 3 points, 2 assists, and 3 turnovers from sub-100% starting point guard who played shortened minutes
4. 21% from 3

despite all of that, osu wins by 4.

Icing on the cake is that it was a serious shot to the pills of tsuns tournament chances.

ttun sucks and if they get a berth in the tournament it will be laughable. If they cannot make shots from 3 point land, they will lose any game they play. I thought that Ohio State did a very good job of not letting them get their 3 point shots off by hedging Thompson/Potter on all of the ball screens. Matta has been asking his guards to rebound all year long instead of getting out early and they finally listen to him yesterday and rebounded. Props to Matta for scheming a pretty good game plan.

Yep, pretty amazing what you can do when you control the boards and make your free throws. Not good from 3 point range, but that's all Meatchicken has going for them.....

Yessir. My biggest beefs with recent Matta teams are rebounding, free throws and turnovers. Control two of those and they get the win. Of course, scUM is a dogshit team, too; but it always feels good to beat the bastards.
