When you sit down to watch Super Bowl 50 in 2 weeks, you’re going to hear some very familiar names.

That’s because there’s 5 former Ohio State Buckeyes that will be on the field when the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos face off. Which is the most of any 1 college. They are Ted Ginn Jr, Corey “Philly” Brown, Kurt Coleman, and Andrew Norwell for the Carolina Panthers facing off against Bradley Roby and the Denver Broncos. Technically there are 6 Ohio State players, but TE Jeff Heuerman has been out the entire year for the Broncos with a knee injury.

Not only where they’ll be Buckeyes everywhere, they also helped their teams get to the Super Bowl, but making big plays in both the AFC and NFC Championship games.

For the Carolina Panthers, their first 2 TDs of the NFC Championship game were scored by former Buckeyes, Ted Ginn Jr, and Corey “Philly” Brown. Kurt Coleman also had 2 INTs in the game.

The AFC Championship game was clinched by Bradley Roby’s INT of a Tom Brady 2 point conversion pass with only 12 seconds left in the game. The Broncos won 20-18 thanks to the late INT.

The SEC did have the most players as a conference with 24. The Big 10 was 2nd with 18 players.

It will be hard to root for one team over another in Super Bowl 50 with so many Ohio State players on the field.

Here’s a breakdown of Super Bowl teams each B1G team:

Ohio State — 6

Maryland — 2

Michigan — 2

Wisconsin — 2

Indiana — 1

Iowa — 1

Michigan State — 1

Northwestern — 1

Penn State —1

Purdue — 1

No matter what team you want to win the Super Bowl, we can all at least now root for all the Buckeyes!

Till next time, chill!
