Game Thread Ohio State @ Indiana - 09/14/19, 12:00PM (FOX)

OHIO STATE OPENS AS 14-POINT FAVORITES AHEAD OF TRIP TO INDIANA SATURDAY

Fresh off a 42-0 pasting of Cincinnati, Ohio State opens as 14-point favorites over the Indiana Hoosiers (2–0) ahead of the teams' Saturday clash in Bloomington to kick off Big Ten play.

The Buckeyes are 1–1 against the spread this season, failing to cover the 28-point line in their opener against FAU, but easily covering the 15-points they were given when they welcomed the Bearcats to town.

The Buckeyes own a 74–12–5 all-time record against the Hoosiers, having won the last 24 games in the series. The last time the two teams played in Bloomington, Ohio State rolled to a 49-21 win in 2017.

14 points?? Wow.. why? They don't like money?

Serious question, would IU beat UC? I don't think so

According to Stassen, the Bucks are 75-9-4 all time, including 27-2-1 at Indiana and 55-2-2 overall since 1952.

These sites has what 11W posted, i.e. 75-12-5

This has 75-9-4

Ohio State says it is 74-12-5 (they "vacated" the 2010 win)

I'm not going to sit down and compare the lists, I'll just go with the Ohio State site.

If UC QB is healthy they beat IU. That defense is good, just not as good as the elite offenses in FBS.
It'd be a game but I think UC wins too...

As for this game. A first year starter who is going to go from playing IAA to a top 5-10 defense? Yeah, good luck.

We've learned it's damn near impossible to run on this front 7. So what, they're going to rely on an OL that returns 2 and a first year starter at QB to test this defense?

Not only that but their WRs are the bigger type so there's not much ability there to threaten us down the field.

I'd be shocked if our defense doesn't wreck this IU team. I can see us being a little slow and conservative on offense though, but I'm expecting the defense to show out again.

How so? You think the bettors know something we don't?
Yep. They usually do. Maybe they know there are still idiots out there thinking Urban took all his talent with him.

Edit..... Vegas, not the bettors. The betting public are about as smart as the voting or TV watching public.
