One of the top 2018 prospects from Pennsylvania received good news on Wednesday when the Buckeyes dropped him an offer. Also, the dice might roll the Buckeyes' way on a recruit from Las Vegas

Kuntz gets OSU offer

On Wednesday, Ohio State went on the path to finding a tight end for the future. Zack Kuntz (Camp Hill, Penn. / Camp Hill) was the recipient of a Buckeye offer.

Extremely honored to receive an offer from THE Ohio State University! pic.twitter.com/MGneRuSXZD

— Zack Kuntz (@zackkuntz_717) May 4, 2016

Kuntz is a 6'7", 205-pounder who has already racked up offers from Duke, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and now Ohio State. Obviously other schools -- like Stanford, UCLA and USC -- are keeping their eye on the Pennsylvania native as possible offers in the future.

For now, the Buckeyes will try to make their pitch to Kuntz in hopes of convincing him to take a look at campus and start building relationships with the coaches.

However, it's Penn State who is widely projected to land the Pennsylvania prospect – surprise, surprise.

Martell Decommits from Texas A&M

Big news came out of Sin City, as Tate Martell (Las Vegas, Nev. / Bishop Gorman) pulled his commitment to play for Texas A&M. Coincidentally, Ohio State's QB specialist Tim Beck visited with Martell earlier in the day, according to 247Sports.

After talking with my family about
what is best for my future, I have
decided to reopen my recruiting
process.

— Tate Martell (@TheTateMartell) May 5, 2016

This is big news, as Martell is a 5-star dual QB, and is the No.1 dual QB in the 2017 class. Currently, over 20 schools have sent offers to the Bishop Gorman signal caller – including defending national champions Alabama. Time will tell where Martell will go, but 247Sports had the Buckeyes as the No.2 place he would go behind Texas A&M.

With the Aggies out of the picture, does that mean the Scarlet and Gray lead the way?

Meyer speaks with Marshall

On Tuesday, 2017 TE Alexander Marshall (Andover, Mass. / Andover) picked up an offer from Ohio State. Land-Grant Holy Land's own Austin Kemp wrote about the offer for Marshall and Wednesday afternoon the mismatch nightmare got to speak with the big boss.

Just had a great conversation with Urban Meyer at THE Ohio State #Buckeyes

— Alexander Marshall (@A_marshall80) May 4, 2016

Like Kemp stated in his piece, the Seminoles of Florida State are the odds on favorite when it comes to Marshall. However, in the last two days Offensive Coordinator/Tight Ends coach Ed Warinner visited him, Ohio State offered him, and Head Coach Urban Meyer gave him a call. Not a bad start for the Buckeyes' pursuit of the 6'7", 240-pounder.

Marshall is a three-star prospect in this years class and has nabbed offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Ohio State, UCLA, USC and many more. Marshall is also graded as the third best player from the state of Massachusetts, a state that the Buckeyes have had tremendous success as of late.
