More advantages than any program, except perhaps Minnestoa, and they've now gone 26 years without a title. Even then, those two in the 90s, were the only two that they've had since 1964. Their hockey program is like their football program, just substitute poodle skirts and Elvis for raccoon coats and the Charleston.

tsun fans are whining today about all the 24 and 25 year old players that Quinnipiac had, yet they have no problem with tsun using the U16 camp as their personal recruiting pool and having 3x the number of U16 alumni on their team as any other program in the country.

Fuck 'em.

Quinnipiac was just the better team at the right time. The Big Ten was the best hockey conference by far and it's not particularly close.

Minnesota was legit. Michigan just couldn't drop below the top 4 no matter how many games where they just decided to not play any defense. The way the pairwise works that made everyone who played them look better and then look better when they played each other. At the end of the day, the B1G, has yet to win a national championship since its formation. Sure, you can say that this year Minny simply ran into a hot team in a one game format. But when it's happening year after year?

Until the B1G starts winning the Frozen Four, it's a pretender conference.

ehhh....I still don't pay attention to this conference superiority nonsense. ESPN played that card to the literal hilt and now they are relegated to having the SEC SEC SEC and the ACC. Once Disney realizes they are a sunk cost, ESPN might become a literal dinosaur - more than it is already.

As for the Big Ten - scUM is, for better or worse, about to have the 2nd pick in the NHL draft. I could be mistaken but I think they also have a defenseman who is a borderline 1st rounder too. MInny is always putting dudes into the NHL as is Notre Dame. Maybe they don't win championships, but literally only losing to 1 team doesn't mean the whole conference is "horribly overrated" in any meaningful way...
