A number of future and potential Buckeyes displayed their talents in Westerville over the weekend.

Urban Meyer and the rest of the the Ohio State coaching staff might not have been there, but a number of future and potential Buckeyes flocked to Westerville North High School on Saturday for a chance to attend one of the most prestigious high school football camps in the country. Displaying their talents in a matter of different drills at the regional camp in Columbus, seven top performers were selected among the large group of standout recruits to attend The Opening, an annual event held on the grounds of the Nike headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, later this summer.

Walking away with a chance to strut his stuff against the best of the best from the other 13 regional camps, OSU class of 2017 commitment Antjuan Simmons of Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan, was the lone Buckeye pledge to have his named called on Saturday. Rounding out the invites were 2017 Ohio State targets, receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones, tight end Matt Dotson, defensive backs Jamyest Williams, Ambry Thomas, and prospects KJ Hamler, and Jordan Reid.

While they didn't snatch an invite over the weekend like Simmons, a few of his OSU classmates reportedly proved why they were highly sought after by college programs across the country. Waiting for a phone call to join Antjuan, and other soon-to-be-teammates in Oregon, offensive lineman Josh Myers, Jake Moretti, quarterback Danny Clark, running back Todd Sibley, and athlete Brendon White all had good showings during their drills and tests.

Want to see the prospects in action? Below are some clips from across the internet showing a few of the aforementioned athletes participating at the event:

Williams visits OSU

Class of 2017 defensive back Jamyest Williams didn't just "Get Open". The four-star standout also used his time in Columbus to visit Ohio State for the first time.

Getting the tour from longtime OSU pledge Danny Clark, Williams, a Georgia native, had the chance to see what the Buckeyes had to offer from a prospect that might know the campus better than some current students do.

While the 5'9, 170-pounder might be considering Ohio State, many around the recruiting scene have a hard time believing he will end up suiting up for Urban Meyer and crew on the college level. Racking up over 40 scholarship offers during the process, Georgia, and Clemson are thought to be the front-runners for Williams' commitment at the moment.

According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Williams is currently considered the sixth cornerback, and 48th overall prospect in the class of 2017.
