Game Thread Ohio State @ Rutgers, 09/30/17 @ 7:30 ET (BTN)

Buckeyes would be well served by a blowout. Falling trend in rankings needs to be reversed. Rankings are really not too much of a concern thus time of year but they could win by a couple touchdowns the next three games and enter Penn State ranked #15.

2014 Sept 28 Ohio State is your #22 team. That turned out OK.
We will keep falling for a while. Let it provide motivation for the season. We want a pissed off team for Ped State.

I guess that depends on whether Alabama, Clemson, or Oklahoma loses. The latter got a shock against Baylor, even if they won. Buckeyes win out, it means Penn State, TSUN, and Wisconsin, which is a great resume. You may be right, but a great game on both sides of the ball will help against Rutgers.

I feel bad for Ash... not sure he's there after next year. This will be our most lopsided game so far this season and that's saying a lot considering we played UNLV and freaking Army.

Side note, I think we enter PSU game ranked in the top 10. You know folks love match ups between two top 10 teams.

Yes but they also love punishing Ohio State for several weeks for one loss.

Ohio State: The only team in CFB that isn't allowed to lose.

I don't disagree really... If bama lost to OU they're still top 5-6 and are #2 or #3 by now after two weeks of victories.

I think its our tendency to beat bad teams handily and then to totally turtle against good/great teams. If we were losing to Clemson x 2 and OU this year by one score and looking competitive I think we probably are treated differently. It's all in front of us though and we really need to put our best foot forward against these better teams.

This one might actually be uglier than the UNLV game.

Rutgers scored 13 points against East Michigan and 17 against Nebraska's awful defense. QB is completing 57% with 3TD/6INT on the season. They rank 119th in yards per play on offense, so nothing really going in terms of explosiveness either. Likely a long night for the Rutgers offense. Which doesn't bode well for their defense.

Thanks for heads up.

Looks like we will find an alternative lot then.

Anyone have any suggestions?
I'm going to play it safe and go for the Biomedical lots on the left of this map: http://www.seats3d.com/ncaa/rutgers_university/football/#/parking/. Supposedly $20.

I saw a reddit thread from 2 years ago that said parking either across the river just on streets behind their student center and then catching a shuttle.....or parking just off the screen near the orange RV lot on that map and catch a shuttle. The shuttles are free.

Rutgers has a top 25 Defense. Though they did just lose a starting CB thus the change in the point spread. It's also a night game that is away. I like the challenge it poses for our Offense. A great opportunity to build upon the last couple games. Still looking for improvement in the deep passing game.
