Game Thread Ohio State vs Oklahoma, 09/09/17 @ 7:30 ET (ABC)

this is correct, and expecting otherwise is wishful thinking. but bashing the kid and calling for a backup is fucking ridiculous. he's not a 4000 yd QB and never has been. he should probably be more developed than he looks, i admit, but the problem tonight (and last week) is obviously the defensive 2nd level and the secondary. we can move the ball with tempo just fine, and JT is perfectly serviceable in a run-first offense, but asking and expecting him to be able to run a 2-minute every possession, then calling for a fucking backup when he faces a competent defense, is absurd. the problem is the defense has major leaks. the offense is not as explosive as we'd all like, but it's fine. the defense is the problem now.

Him being terrible and the D being terrible are not mutually exclusive things.

Kicking a FG here is very Miami-1999-esque. I hope we aren't about to enter the dark days of the 1999-2000-2001 era again....

Makes it a two score game, technically.....but, seriously. Are they going to get two better chances to score TDs than this? Probably not. Go for it.

Oklahoma gave up 734 yards passing to Texas Tech in 2016.
