Ohio State vs. Purdue, Wednesday, January 23 @ 7 pm, BTN

I hate (or love, maybe) to keep harping on it, but that 6 minute stretch in the first half might literally be the worst 6 minutes of basketball I have ever seen OSU play. They went from up 9 to down 12 while taking (and missing) 1 official field goal attempt and splitting 2 free throws. I don't even know how many turnovers they had in there....6? 7? Whatever it was, it was just awful and that stretch was likely the difference in the game. When this team goes bad, it's really really bad.

think we'd have to go back to the late 90s to find a stretch of basketball as pathetic as 11:00 to 5:00 was.

at 10:57, osu was up 17-8.

at 5:17, purdue was up 30-18.

in between, osu had 8 turnovers and attempted only 1 shot. prorated for a whole game, that's 57 turnovers while shooting 0/7. purdue wins 155-7.

This team has no stop gap. It can be be good/bad on O at any point and good/bad on D at any point. And the substitutes can make it even worse. It's gonna be a long year. Not to go all scUM, but next year should be better or at least more interesting with the influx of talent.
