Ohio State vs. Wisconsin
January 31, 2009, 2 PM
Kohl Fieldhouse
TV: ESPN2
Radio: Ohio State basketball network

This game might not get much attention because of the game which will follow in about 24 hours after this one:biggrin2:

Very brief summary of Wisconsin:
Record: 10-2
Best win: 73-69 vs. Duke at home
Worst loss: 88-84 in OT at Wisconsin-Green Bay
Go-to guys: Jon Leuer (17 ppg, 6.5 rpg), Trevon Hughes (16.4 ppg)

This would have been a very tough game with Turner and even though I am one of the Buckeye basketball faithful if they can pull this one out there will be major props to them.

Even with the game being at UW, I'd really like our chances if Turner were playing. Without him, it will be tough, but I wouldn't count us out--we very nearly won at Butler without Turner, and Butler's a much better team than UW this year, IMO.

There size really scares me and Turner was pulling down more than 10 rebounds a game. WB will really have to step it up on the boards. I think Lighty and Dallas will be fine but otherwise it could get ugly:(

Apparently, Wisconsin's size didn't scare the mighty Phoenix of Wisconsin-Green Bay, who beat the Badgers earlier this season :) No doubt, WB will need to focus better and bring his "A" game in the Big Ten for OSU to be successful without ET.

I have two main concerns in this game... rebounding and who will take charge when adversity hits. The Bucks need to crash the defensive glass and not give Wisky many 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chances. If they can do that effectively and have Lighty, Buford, Diebler, anyone step up and knock down some shots when Wisky goes on a run I think they'll be in position to win the game.

Hopefully someone can give updates on how the team looks during this game... I'm stuck at work until 4:00. I'll be following along online but some insight would be nice.

I agree with most of that, although I'm not sure Butler is "much better" than Wisconsin.

This one is going to be a challenge.
