Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

Iowa had more fight, PSU had more fight. Hope to eat my words but this isn't a national championship team right now.

I thought Snyder wrestled differently than he would have given the deficit... and given how tired he is from the Yarygin tournament he almost got caught a couple of times.

Tom needs to do some inner searching right now if this team is to win the title.

Well...that sucks. No way on earth we should have lost that dual. So damn disappointing. All we had to do is just win 197 and it was over.

Fuck you Penn State. I look forward to beating you two times after this dual in a gym where you can't bitch your way to a win. This dual will make it that much sweeter.

Like I said, Moore didn't look right...maybe he's sick or something...

I hear you. But then again, I say that every year and our team peaks in the post-season under Ryan, so I am trying to talk myself down. Snyder should have scored a major there but then again, no way in hell we should have lost at 197. Moore wins and Snyder doesn't have to be a hero.

And he never should have been required to do that...the front end of the lineup mostly did their job, the back end failed. NaTo should have had a tech or pin. Campbell should not have given up bonus. Martin giving up bonus is a killer. And Moore loses. None of that shit should have happened. This should have been a 6-10 point win after McKenna won. If I am Ryan, I am pissed.

That sums it up pretty well I think...

It's the little things that make a difference. Nato only getting 4 points was huge. The kid he was wrestling is 26 years old & has been on a Mormon mission for 2 years without stepping foot on a mat. Pletcher did what we all expected, beat a kid he was supposed to beat. McKenna had a great match. His ride on Lee was the difference. Did not see that coming. Lee also made a tactical error releasing him in the 3rd. Hayes did as well as he could. That bow and arrow should be outlawed but you gotta give Zane credit - he just demolishes people. It doen't matter who he is facing. Micah was working for a pin but it just wasn't there. Campbell is lucky that score wasn't worse but this went as I thought it would. Bo wrestled the match I though he would. He did not shoot much at all he got caught in Hall's duck under when he started getting tired. Martin... all he has to do is stay off his back and that is a regular decision. He gave up points at the end of each period which is exactly what he did last year. Big turning point on that match. Moore... don't know what to think. He looked like he was gassed from the start. No motion at all. Sloppy shots and could not get out from bottom. I think the travel finally caught up with Kyle. He was not the same guy that has been dominating everyone. He was clearly gassed early. I didn't think Nevills had a chance to walk away on the losing end of a decision.

Very disappointing. The team needs to improve. This was not a great effort overall especially with Nolf out of the lineup. Get better and lets see what happens at B1G.

It's a hard loss to stomach because with Nolf out if there ever was a year to catch PSU at home and come away with a W this was it.
