Oh, so we’re including the only year in which Ohio State ever had a 2000 yard back?

They are very different offenses (Fields ran for almost 500 yards that year), so this is like comparing apples to nuclear reactors, but…

2019 after 5 games: 6.10 ypc - 282.60 ypg - 16 TD
2022 after 5 games: 6.21 ypc - 226.20 ypg - 15 TD

Yeah he has his work cut out. This another example of Day letting these things fester on too long, when the signs were there in 2020 that trouble was on the horizon.

Now OSU is in a hole in a few important facets.

If they dont address the OL in the Portal then it's going to be a bumpy ride in 2023.

This next season is where we start seeing those project failures.

we saw them this year with the lack of depth imo but yeah, some people were ok with it back then. They said the portal is always there if the projects don't pan out.

Well here we are. I hope there is some sort of bumper crop of top shelf, NC caliber OL looking to change schools because we are going to need them.

The center for Michigan won the best center award at Virginia and then transferred to Michigan for this season. So there's going to be elite offensive lineman to get. Now we just need to get them here.

Btw another prime example that we should've went after that kid from Virginia in the Portal. Who cares who's feelings get hurt. Anything to keep a talented player away from your rival.
