OL Michael Brewster (Official Thread)

I'm with Duane Long on this one. I would like to see these kids take all five visits.

#1, it is an opportunity of a lifetime in many cases for them to go to these places on someone else's dime and see the country. Might as well enjoy it.

#2, a kid should know he is going to the right place when all is said and done. Without the visits, you leave yourself open to question that.

#3, the Glenville philosophy reigns supreme. The top players deciding later brings scouts to the school which helps others on the team as well get a shot at a schollie.

I'm almost positive it can't be until after September 1st.

I don't think seniors can take official visits until their senior year begins, which the NCAA decided was September 1st, or sometime around there(I don't know if it changes).

Personally, I think the talk of official visits is just that, talk. I think he'll take his visits during the spring to see practices and then during the summer for camps, then he'll decide(that's of course if he waits that long to decide...).

Thanks. I was wondering if Brew's coach was from UF or whatever. There are some advantages (the way I understand it) to being uncommitted on these visits.

I think Edgewater is somewhat neutral as far as alliances with the Big 3 in the Sunshine state... I know that their coach was pretty pro-Big 10 during Greg Mathews' recruitment a few years back... So I think he just wants whats best for his players... Might want to get some of Brew's teammates noticed as well...

Actually a great coaching move (IMHO). Very "Glenvillesque". :)
