I asked about this a long time ago on BNs and found out quite a few of us play online games. Well with all the new games that are online now I thought I would ask again. What games do you guys play online?

I am a SOCOM II guy (Usually in US East 11, name is ~M~ScarletNGry)

I also play the Champions of Norath online but not so much.

I am waiting for Final Fantasy XI that comes out on March 24th. I will be on that as well.

If anyone else plays online games maybe there are games we can play together. Let me know.

Hubbs, you are on the computer version of it then? Then you can answer a few quesiton for me. Will it let me chose a server? I have heard it places you on a server at random. I have heard that PC and PS2 folks will be playing on the same servers which sounds cool. I will try to get on the same server as you and maybe you can show me the ropes. My wife will be playing too. We have 2 PS2 set up online. She really enjoyed playing Everquest while I was playing that so she decided to have her own character on FFXI. I was wondering if it would be difficult to get us both on the same server.

Yes I have the computer version. Well the server choice is random, but there is a way around it or I can juyt buy you a world pass and that way you can get into the server (along with your wife) and I will post it on here a couple of days before you get it. Just let me know when you plan on getting it. Yes PS2 and CP players will be playing on the same server along with ALOT of Japanese players. I can help you out and answer questions (which I have found to be the best help), but the best teacher is experience especially in this game. It'll take a couple of days to learn the controls and such. Money is nto easy to come by on this game at all so I can give you the tips that I have learned. That's cool that your wife will be on there.

Hubbs, the game is released on the 24th of March and I already have my copies reserved. So I should be on right around then, maybe earlier if the game shop gets them early. As far as getting around the server thing, do I just keep starting new characters until I get on the server I want? I have about 4 or 5 friends that will be trying to all land on the same server and my wife and I. The seems to be the biggest question for all of us. Does the game automatically translate between Japanese and English or do you not see what they are typing if it is in another language? That could be very interesting. Oh well, just excited to be getting closer to the release date.

I will just buy a world pass like the 22nd and post the code on here after I get it. The code allows 5 people access into the server so if you need more than that we can get 2. As far as the japanese to English or vice-versa, that is what makes tis game reallllll interesting. There is a way to do it with tab (is PS2 having a keyboard?) after you type the word to see if there are any matches. The language barrier makes the game harder than it should be unfortuantely. Oh have you given any thought as to what you are going to be? If you want to be any type of mage, Taru is the way to go. Mages is this game are hard to come by so they get parties faster than the melee type people. If you have any questions regarding that let me know.
