Game Thread Orange Bowl: tOSU vs Clemson, Jan 3, 8:30 ET, ESPN

Good matchup; great college-level QBs, potent offenses, everyone seems to expect a ton of points for good reason. I'm inclined to believe (could be flat delusion) that we actually see an almost cohesive defensive identity tonight (I know how that would shock, well, everyone). I think Tajh to Sammy (and company) definitely hurts us here and there, but el Guapo and Bosa have big nights. Miller to have a few highlight reel plays, KennyG to see the field at least once, and we go out on a narrowly won high point to build momentum for next season.

This isn't the MSU defense we're facing; if it's to be a race, I like our legs.

Have fun tonight, all. It's not ALL going to be good and fun, but the ride itself should be great without much regard to how it all shapes up at the end. Here's hoping it's a great W.

If the Buckeyes can keep the Clemson O off the field then the Buckeyes may have a shot. I've said it since the MSU game so I can't change now: if the team has to rely on the defense in any way then the game is lost. This is the first time I have ever felt this way about an Ohio State defense. I honestly don't think they have the players to compete in the secondary.

Armani Reeves is probably a great kid, but he's (needs work as a) CB. Pitt Brown same thing (although I have hope with Bell getting the nod). If Reeves has to cover Watkins then Boyd and Co. might go for 500 yards tonight.

EDIT The awesome thing about being a pessimist is that you're either proven right or you're pleasantly surprised. Here's to me being pleasantly surprised tonight! Go Bucks!!!!!
