I'll be rooting for Oregon for the sake of us making a BCS game and more importantly forcing PSU to play USC instead of oOSU...but if that doesn't happen I'll be happy knowing SC didn't win the Pac-10.

I'm rooting for them this Saturday. :p

Not only does it improve our BCS chances, I'd also rather see USC-Penn State in the Rose than Oregon State-Penn State. The former matchup intrigues me far more than the latter. USC's "reign of power" doesn't matter to me.

Agreed-osu winning the PAC10 would be a bitter pill to swallow for most USC fans. That'd make me smile. Wouldn't that be similar to NW winning the Big 10?

Plus, all of the BCS bowls will settle out in a more exciting fashion this way.

Jake, this post and the followups are nothing more than an excuse to interject gratuitous sex into a serious football discussion.

How could you possibly say such a thing? :sad2:

I was just thinking how sweet it is that we've had enough success in recent years that there are rational Buckeye fans out there rooting for OSU in this game. 99% of schools in 1-A would kill just for the opportunity to go to 1 BCS bowl.

I hope you're not suggesting anyone rooting for Oregon is irrational. I'm rooting for the Ducks for several reasons.

Not at all.

I'm just saying it's awesome that we are one of the privileged few who could rationally root either team in this situation. 99% of teams would be dying just to get a first or another BCS bowl under their belt.

Yep. We've been fortunate enough, as fans, to be treated to several BCS bowls. I'd like another one if we can get it, but I also want to see Penn State play USC in Pasadena. That match up interests me more than seeing them play Oregon State, again.

The forecast is for 56 degrees and cloudy in Corvallis on Saturday. Might be a tad chilly for some participants, but will it adversely affect the Ducks' passing game?
