OSU Alumni Club Game Watch Locations

Tony's is back open in Atlanta (the old gamewatch location).

Cocktail Cove is still the official Buckeye party place, but I called Tony's and they said they will still show the game like they did with sound, etc. Just likely not the DJ and stuff.

Some people really liked the atmosphere at Tony's so I thought I would pass that along.

I hate McGees.
Did you know that the owner of McGees also has a bar in support of TSUN? And that McGee's is also a White Sox bar. I've never been there, but this is enough to turn me away from there. I go to Mickey's on gameday, and I love it. Man they got some serious hotties working there, and the bartenders got some serious flair to their game. It's fucking awesome. And I met the owner there, he's a really cool guy

Yes I did know that Bar1 has other bars. Did you know that they have an ND bar, Wisconsin bar and Purdue bar? Who the [censored] cares. McGees is a [censored]ing [censored] hole regardless of anything else.

Mickeys is a nice spot, especially for early part of the season. Sitting out on the patio watching the Bucks is top notch. And yes there are plenty of hot chicas flowing about.

Still think Casey Morans is my favorite spot to watch a game. I have been there for 3 scUM games, 3-0. I also saw OSU blow up ND in the Fiesta.

Still want to make it to LaSalle Power Company, maybe for the Rose Bowl.

I knew that they have ND, Wisconsin, and Purdue bars as well. But since I hate the White Sox and scUM, that's enough to turn me away from McGee's. Maybe some time when I go to a Cubs game I will check out Casey Morans. I've never heard of this LaSalle place. But I love Mickey's. OSU went 6-1 this year when I went there. Mickey's is great not just for the atmosphere and the hot chicks, but after the games at least 1 girl gets up on the table and starts dancing. It ain't Coyote Ugly, but it might as well be. And Mongo was there 2 weeks ago

I'm a little torn on the Chicago gamewatches. I respect that McGee's pays the annual fee to the alumni club to be an official gamewatch spot. It's just that I'd rather have a root canal than watch a game there.

The Gaslight, however, is a great place to watch a game. Just the right size, good balance between a solid crowd that's into the game but not a freakin' zoo, nice diversity of ages, great beers and cocktails. And the food is really a big step above what you usually find for an LP bar. OTOH, they are kind of weaselly by not stepping up and paying the alumni club. They just want to hang the flag out front and call themselves an Ohio State bar on their website.

Although it's not equipped with endless large TVs, we always use Kelly's (across the street from McGee's) as our defacto Buckeye bar. When in town for the bi-annual Northwestern "party" we find Kelly's to be a suitable alternative for those of us not willing to freeze our asses off waiting to get in to McGee's. We've never watched a tOSU game there, but did do a very late post-game last year. That experience was enough for me to know we'll never watch a game there. Very annoying.

Kelly's food is better than average, the service is accommodating and the DePaul co-eds can be fun. As it's a small world note, we always run into someone from home (Dayton).

Any BPers from SLC or nearby in the Utah Valley area? I will probably start the 2010 season working for Utah State and would love to catch a game with some fellow Buckeye's. The department I work for is heavy with the Wisconsin grad's... this makes me sad.

A great place to watch the game in South Florida

Hello everyone on the Buckeye Planet. I have recently moved to Homestead,FL from Ft. Lauderdale where the Buckeye pride is evident every Saturday when 300+ screaming fans show up to watch the game at Bru's Room. Unfortunately there is no way I can commute back to Ft. Lauderdale to watch the game with the S FL Alumni Club this season. So I have been contacting local restaurants/bars, and after several places here in Cane country laughed me out the door, I have found a great place in Key Largo that is willing to pack the place with crazy buckeyes every Saturday and even run some specials just for us. The bartender is a loyal fan from Columbus and the owners and manager are great people. So if anyone is in the Upper Keys or the Homestead area and would like to get together this football season to watch the games in a great spot send me a message and we can start getting things setup. :pirate1:

I will see what I can do for you Bass but I wouldn't hold my breath. My entire town pulls for the canes. I had to pony up $50 for one fuzzy 25" tv in the local sports bar last year since we were playing at the same time. I told the owner of Pontunes that I should be able to find at least 20 people, but I only have 5 so far.So if you know anyone that is in my area I'd really appreciate the help.
