OSU is better this year then last year at this time! Last year Clarett was out with a stinger during the Purdue game. Also, the O-line is doing a better job at blocking than last year. I was at the game last year and the O-line was out of shape and waddling on and off the field. This year the line is in better shape and Ross and the line are getting in sync.
In addition, we have the 12th man playing for us. That's worth at least 7 points. :tongue2:

In this game it could be worth 14 points Ohiobuck94. I expect the crowd to be the most intense that it has been in some time this weekend. Ross has to have a big game this week, and our O line needs to buy Krenzel some time.

Their offense, I think, will attempt to be as unpredictable as possible. I think they set a record for attempts-passing versus Wisconsin- and beat them that way.

For our offense I'd like to see the WRs get the ball in space as often as possible. Whether that's running right by them or in between them... I just think that our WRs have NFL written all over them in giant letters. Add TEs making plays and then you have a "D" getting all shook up and getting pounded on by a Branden Joe and a pulling Adrien Clarke.

Defensively, if they pass a ton, I'd like to see a lot more dime. To me this equals more picks. Allen and Salley support the run extremely well anyway....

But then again... who can really predict?

Mili,

In his defense if we lost to a team based in Norman every year, I'd call it Hell as well...

Mitch,

I hope your kidding... As we all know any team can beat any team on any day, however a "shot"... I'd say so...

I don't think our best chance of beating Purdue is through the air. With 8 seniors on D they are going to be where they need to be and we are going to have a tough time fooling them - it could even be the other way around with some well disguised defenses (not the week for Mr. McMullen to be throwing the ball). What we don't want to do is add to that +15 turnover margin they are already riding.

This is the week to show we have some hosses. Power football. A healthy Ross and a healthy Joe following those HS AA OL who need to deliver in their final home game. It has been happening more and more each week - so it is time to turn it up a notch. Screw their experience - just run over them.

BTW - lots of folks talk about how much we miss MC and how much it hurts our O. In the last three regular season games last year our opponents outgained us in all three games. Our highest total offensive output in those games was 308 yards. We will do better than that against Purdue.

The D will do its regular thing. Just don't turn the ball over and don't screw up on special teams (and fix whatever the heck was broke on kickoffs last week)..
