Yeah, the crowd was somewhat sparse and quiet. In the 2nd half PSU was on offense right in front of the student section and that's probably when the crowd made the least noise. Seems odd to me that they made more noise when the Bucks were on offense in front of them.

BTW, During the postgame, Matta said that Dials was under the weather and that's probably why he didn't play that well.

A win is a win - especially after 4 in a row. But this one did not get me terribly excited.

OSU led 11-1 and won by 6. That means PSU played even or better for the majority of the game. It was obvious early that we had much better athletes and should easily have covered a 17 point spread. What we didn't have IMO was effort. At times - yes. Individually - yes. But consistently as a team I am not seeing it.

Fuss had a great game, not only scoring (3 of 5 on treys) but only one turnover. Dials played much better than the numbers indicate (defensively in particular) but was also playing ill.

It was also nice to see Foster back to form on both O and D.

Beyond that I have little positive to say.

Very anxious to see this team start to take on the personality Matta squads are famous for.

agreed. they still got beat down low again tonight. if i'm an opposing coach i put 4 guys down low and let them just toss the ball at the hoop and keep tipping it until it goes in. if dials doesnt get the rebound, unless sullinger sneaks in, the opposition will dominate the boards all night.

Well, that was other than the Minny game the worst I have seen them play. They seemed to sleep walk after the first ten minutes of the game. They played just well enough to win and its good we were playing PSU or we would have been blown out by a better team.

Its was nice to see Cheatem finally score and Foster is very solid. Off night by Dials, but I guess they said he was under the weather. They did get killed on the boards and Stockman takes some crazy shots. What almost made me fall out of my chair was the fact we had shot 1 free throw and there was only five minutes left in the game, how in the heck is that possible?

They go to NW on Saturday and they just got done upsetting Iowa, so we need to play extremely better and stay focused or it could be a long day.
