Great news!! now lets hope this doesnt get to his head, I want him back next year.

Don't worry. He knows that I am always watching. The key is focus, Mike. Let's not forget that. Lots of money to make in the pros after your stunning year next year and 1st round draft position.

A little over 2 minutes of Mike in the locker room after the Sugar Bowl.

He is also quoted saying this in another interview.

Scout.postgame

Adams said he is looking forward to a senior season and expressed hope that a pending appeal to the NCAA will successfully reduce the length of the suspension.
Asked if he will be back, Adams said, “Yeah, you know, I’m just thinking about we just won this game. I plan to be with the 2011 Bucks and we’ll see how it goes. Hopefully this appeal process works out and they can reduce the games or something but if not, it will be a long grind. We’ll see what happens.”

Thanks for posting, BB73. I was a bit concerned when I read this, which is on the front page of theozone.net:

Football: Early reports from the Sugar Bowl post game are that Mike Adams, one of the five Buckeyes involved in the NCAA violations and five game suspension, refused to say he will return for his senior season as he promised. When asked a second time, Adams gave reporters the "knock it off" sign and walked off.

Not an insider by any means on the Scout (Bucknuts) board, but the front page is a bit disheartening.

The front page of Bucknuts reads "Adams: 'I'm waiting to see what happens with this appeal process.' Standout left tackle won't commit to coming back."

If he goes back on his promise to both Coach Tress and the Buckeye Community, he will have a VERY hard time being welcomed back in the Columbus area in the future.

It seems like the media is just misrepresenting the intention behind this quote by Adams:

Yeah, you know, I'm just thinking about we just won this game. I plan to be with the 2011 Bucks and we'll see how it goes. Hopefully this appeal process works out and they can reduce the games or something but if not, it will be a long grind. We'll see what happens.

It seems perfectly clear to me that he says for certain that he will be back in 2011, and the "we will see" part is only referring to the teams performance next season and whether or not the suspension will get reduced.

Of course, it is easy enough to twist the words, and that might not be a direct quote. Either way, it seems like this is 95% overreaction, 5% what Adams actually said.

The way Bucknuts is spinning it doesn't even make sense (shocking, I know)

Mike would have to declare by next Saturday. Do we really expect the appeals process to conclude or even to get any hints from the NCAA in the next week on which way they are leaning? Most reports I have read are that this is going to drag on until the summer - which is reasonable based on past NCAA decision time lines.
