They still have information from 2007 on the USC website has anyone found any good info on the situation out there? It looks like you have to have a parking pass to enter any of their lots, but are there other lots within walking distance of the stadium? Once again Ohio State does a much better job with their game day information.

Thanks

Try the LA Coliseum site instead of the USC page.

Parking

On Site:
There are 6000 Parking Spaces located on grounds with facilities at USC. On campus parking rates and availability may vary for special events.
Off Site:
Four-hour and two-hour metered parking is available on Figueroa and Jefferson. $3 a day lots are available Mon-Fri across the street from the USC campus on Figueroa and other pivate lots. Parking rates for these lots may vary for special events (usually at $10 for events).
Five Star Parking Co. 869 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Located approximately 0.3 miles from the Coliseum with event parking at approximately $10 (call ahead for specific details): (213) 749 - 5654.
Classic Parking 3208 Royal Street
Located approximately 0.7 miles from the Coliseum. Call ahead for details: (213) 742 - 1238
Convention Center 1201 S. Figueroa
Staples Center 1111 S. Figueroa St.
Additional parking for some events may be accesible through the combined use of Staples Center or Convention Center parking space and Taxi or Public Transportation use. Always call ahead for hours, locations, and rates as they are subject to change based on days and events.
For information on Staples Center Parking see This Link or call the Staples Center
Parking Office: (213) 742-PARK (7275). Convention Center Parking is $7.00. Call (213) 741-1151 for more information regarding parking rates and hours for special events.

WARNING! A popular scam regarding parking is a person will charge $5-10 for parking in their private home driveway or on their lawn. OFTEN, the person doing this DOES NOT LIVE AT THAT HOME. Try to keep to official lots. Don't make a winning day end on a towed car sour note.

Just an update for anyone else concerned with parking. I called the LA Coliseum and they said as long as you get there 4 hours early there will be plenty of parking for tailgate spots. The USC website kind of made the parking around the coliseum look like it was all pass based. I see buckeye fans spending hundreds of dollars on parking passes on ebay and I just wanted to throw this tidbit out there.

That's good to know, as that was pretty much our PLAN I think.

do you know if the band raised enough money to go to the game?

Nope.Just checked the home page, it only shows events scheduled for this week of September. However, my husband says, no, they are not. By the time they made enough money to be able to go, tOSU had informed USC that our band would not be present and the tickets for them had been sold.

Oh is that what "free weekend" means? Thats really a bummer they're not going to be there :(, I'd much rather have them there for this game rather then when they were there for the Texas game a couple years ago. This is really going to have a Rose Bowl feel to it.
