Peach Bowl: #1 Georgia vs #4 tOSU, Sat 12/31 8 ET on ESPN

I cannot believe this…why?

so many championships lost. That was in our hands just minutes ago
Hence my persistent bitching that National Championship games need to be removed from the bowl system. No way in hell that wasn't a home crowd for Georgia.
Just dammit. That’s all I got.

I loved the Buckeye team that was out there tonight. I don’t know how OSU keeps losing championships.

Put that game in Indianapolis and let's see how it ends.

That's what pissed me off. We were playing with house money. Day talked about playing loose with nothing to lose. Then on that last two drives, he reverts to the wooden playcalling that is so goddamned frustrating. That final sequence was unforgivable. This is Ohio State, there are no moral victories.

The guys before him set some lofty standards and built a machine. Ryan Day isn't meeting those standards.

Yep. Someday I'll rewatch the sequence where they started at the UGA 30 with timeouts and ~30 seconds after CJ's scramble and then pissed down our legs and put Ruggles in a brutal spot. Tonight's not that night.

The fact of the matter is Day is now 1-3 in the playoffs and 1-2 against scUM. I don't care what we do against Minnesota and IU. At the end of the day life is good, it was a more entertaining few hours than I expected, and my favorite semipro football team losing isn't going to spoil my new year. But the standard is high and it's not been met yet.

For those of you upset with the loss and are handling it poorly, i try and tell myself whenever we lose, "dont let things that you cant control, control your life". Its a tough juggling act and its something ive worked on for the last few years. Yeah this loss for me stings but it no longer leaves a void of emptiness like it would have before.

You guys have been my friends for years even though I haven't met any of you. Thanks for all the free therapy as well haha.

Go Bucks! Happy New Year and ill see you guys in the off season!

This defense is not championship quality. Disappointing playcalling at the end and then the shank of all shanks. Just…..fuck
Defense scared the crap out of me. With the as easy as it was in the first half they bowed up in the 3rd and let back down in the 4th. I would have been terrified of TCU with them but if we had Marv back we're game.

But the majority of that game felt we were back in the Utah game last year.

This sounds like the setup for a Dr Pepper Fansville commercial. You’re not taking this loss hard enough. No insane rants on the message board…

LOL. “It’s a bunch of kids… with a ball.”

We were going to fake the ball for a first down midway through the 4th.

Seriously back off.

Our defense couldn't get the job done and our offense literally ran out of bodies.
Xavier flipping Johnson was pounding the rock on big bad georgia.
Miyan somehow grinded out some carries, including a message sending TD.
Julian Fleming was making plays.
Joe Royer caught his first pass of the year.

They threw the ball almost all game long and laughed at the notion of balance. They clowned the premiere defensive dynasty in CFB.

The only time Ringo didn't get clowned on was at the absolute end of the game, when everyone was dead, and xavier ran a weak route.

Drunk 3 things to end the season.

when someone from the West coast told me to watch out for the PAC-12 refs, I brushed it off. he watched and texted me a minute ago.. said that they've been doing this shit all year.

CJ Stroud.. came . to . ball ... I feel awful for that man. dude went out and was the Heisman.. he slacked for a few games but came out and proved he was the best in this game...

good season. it would have been great to take a bit of the sting out of the michigan game, but here we are.. next year wont be as great unless Dennis can develop a stud.. doesnt look great. the recruiting needs to pick up or we might be in a bit of trouble unless we get some magic transfer as we did with Fields.

Happy new year

Georgia also took some dives that drive should have punished them with taking away both timeouts then give Ohio State the option when they have no timeouts left.

Final thoughts.. too many bounces went GA way..
There should have been SOME penalty for a hit like that against a WR who is clearly is looking up for the ball and defenseless and gets destroyed
Questionable play calling in the last 5 min..
Is it more heartbreaking losing by 1 or 30? They all hurt
I really really wanted to beat an SEC team.. especially #1.. lose to TCU in the NC? well then they were clearly the best team.. but OSU didn't get it done.. and now I have to root for some TCU miracle...
