Game Thread Penn State at tOSU, Oct 26, 8 ET, ABC

Joe infuriated me because he stayed 10 yrs to long, but he understood the college game extremely well. Daryl Clark is QB we pass over the middle and for 400 yrds per game. Robinson is QB we have designed runs 20% of the time. He didn't trust the QB its 3 yrds and a cloud of dust. Joe was stodgy and behind the times, but he could develop a player and never put them in a position they couldn't handle. Did you see Meyers first series? Full of super easy 8 yrd screen passes to the sidelines. What was our first series? Full of 25 yrd lasers over the middle through traffic, then topped of by a 35 yrd interception. That throw was dangerous for a 5th year senior with pro skills. Obrien treats Hack like he's 30 yrs old and named Tom Brady. The kid just got out of prom... on the road at the shoe you have to give him throws he can make. Joe would have understood this, and we would have lost last nite 17-7.

The bold.....

In that guy's greatest fantasy his favorite team loses by two scores

I think our defense took a big step forward yesterday. The 2 interceptions by Pitt Brown and Barnett were huge. That gave us a lot of momentum and the offense capitalized upon it. I hope the defensive secondary can learn from this for the remainder of our games. Like "lord jeff buck" said we could be unstoppable.

All these fans of other programs who still say things like "just force Miller to throw" when trying to talk us down have no idea the punishment they're inviting.

On offense, we're witnessing a fully operational Urban Deathstar.

I like that. Last year it was the Kill Miller offense because they were kind of limited in what was installed.

This year, it's the fully armed and operational battle station

Urban Deathstar. Book it.

The sports pundits are getting it, now. "Ohio State can play any style of football." What that means is we're very, very difficult to stop on offense. When the defense reaches that level......

Amazing what happens when Ohio State blows teams out.

FAMU - We really should stop FBS teams from scheduling FCS teams
PSU - Ok....Ohio State really does have a dynamic offense.

Even against Iowa the offense was unstoppable- the defense just couldn't get off the field as they tried to Tresselball us.

If the defense puts things together each week- seemingly through more aggressive blitzing, but however they manage to do it- the Buckeyes can compete with anyone and dominate almost everyone.

Yeah all the OSU detractors are standing there with their jaws on the floor and that deer in the headlights blank stare and Urban is standing at the mic, "Ok then, any questions?" crickets...

I was expecting an "Iowa" style offense(3 TEs a lot) by Ped State. But, obviously, they didn't have a good enough offensive line to pull that off. Their TE's were needed for blocking/pass pro. Hell, Hack-up just about got killed as it was!
