Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

At the end of the day, I really don't see how much credibility I would have after this stunt....and that's pretty much what it was: a hilarious, if somewhat brilliantly glorious punking of the cult. As I posted earlier today, the cult gave any right thinking Penn Staters more than enough ammo themselves at the rally. That should be more than enough for students, and student journalists to say ENOUGH.

Totally agree...

I've already received one death threat and several threats of violence on the facebook page. Now, that's all fun and games because I've insulated myself to a degree that they could never track me down.

The problem, however, with doing a real media interview is that any respectable journalist is probably going to want to confirm my real i.d. after all of this, and there is no way that is getting out to the cult.

Fair enough. I'm glad you were careful with your identity and I can't deny that I was entertained.

The FACT that there WAS a rally, and that Franco showed up with his Cardboard Joe Idol Doll makes it all the more epic.

How do they not get that?

Never mind. Cults.:shake:

There can be some very smart people within a cult.

This is deeper, they don't have the mental makeup to believe they have been fooled in the slightest.

Inbreeding. It shows.

That cutout is too much. Makes you hope the forecast includes rain, wind, or paintball.

I'm picturing 200 cardboard cutouts with cartoon balloon quotes behind a Gameday crew.

What would be really hilarious is if fans from various schools started showing up at Gameday dressed like Franco and carrying cutouts.

So I'm serious about coming in from the cold. Between Tug Speedwell/Lance Manion and Tappan Stanton, I've had my fun and gone balls deep on two fanbases that I loathe.

However, the facebook page seems to be taking on a second life as Penn State haters are learning of the trolljob and gravitating to it. And considering that the other four rally organizers plan on doing more of these, perhaps I'll pass on the password to it and the twitter feed to a young up and coming troller.

Suggestions...thoughts...resumes?
